Default One marked off the bucket list

Sharpness takes away from crisp shots but much better results at slower speeds...thx kosmo

Noticed the fish at the bottom edge of the bed and a small group just inside. Anchored off and fished those two spots and got some keepers.

sharpness was set on low to see the fish, scroll speed was on 3 i think...will have to check. Had the 898 on the console recording and was setting on the TM making passes at about 1-1.5 in that cove. Had the 898 turned so I could see it. I'll check the recording and get some better details for ya.

Isn't their a way to use the recording to change setting to fine tune it or is that a snap shot?

Nice shot slabbacks,I think you've mentioned that your si transducer is mounted on your trolling motor.if it is you can scan to find those beds but you can also use your trolling motor to scan out in front for more beds.it will keep you from running over those other beds that are always there, that are close to the big beds that you find.give it a try the next your scanning, just keep your boat moving just a little bit and stop running the trolling motor, then slowly turn it.you may get a big surprise of what you will see out in front

Do you have your "Depth Offset" setting different from default "0"...??

My 998 will often read 2x actural depth on a hard, shallow bottom..... must be a difference how SS gets depth vs the 200KZ depth.

my "map off set" is set other than default and my "depth off set" is set to allow for the depth under the water line for the TX. could see how depth off set would effect readings but what about map off set?
