Than if you had di only ,with cusor could you tell which side of boat object is on,i know you can with si by flipping it to si but just wandering about di and cusor
I'm pretty sure this is correct Vic...(although I've never checked this for myself...I never change this setting from default "True North")...

Rickie,i was asking on di,and went over object if you put cusor on object,could you then determine which side of boat it was on?
No...because DI is still 1 beam...and sonar does not know direction...it only knows time...
Activating the cursor on a DI image only assigns position as coordinates (lat, lon) to the GPS antenna position ...not the position (left, right, forward, aft)...of structure that is under the water...
