    Default Lowrance HDS owners

I'm seeing very grainy images lately.
    On Di, Si, and 2d,
    Suggestions?
Could it be lots of sediment in the water?
We have had tons of rain in the last few weeks.

It's not just HDS owners...my 1197 is picking up lots of the pollen bloom...

If there's green or yellow slime at the boat ramp...it's an algae or pollen bloom...

My Elite 5 DSI was picking up the same grainy image from 0-10' down ... when fishing Watts Bar Lake in E Tenn. (a week ago), and the water clarity was clear to over 3ft down. Saw some of the same image blurring at a local lake, just the other day. Not everywhere, and not down to 10', but still present off & on.

I thought it might be a big temp difference, kinda like how the thermocline shows as a grainy line across the screen ... with the very warm (60+degree) water suspended over much colder water ... so I didn't bother to take a screenshot.

Mine is ok. It's totally new to me. Trying to learn how to use it. I could use some advice about making my own maps. Can someone PM me to give me some advice? thanks.

I used Dr depth software for making a map with my humminbird. Worked well.
