I downloaded that( sonar viewr) but when I open it doesn't work. Says " component ' MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered:a file is missing or invalid" so what does that mean?? I have the sd card IN PC with both the FLG and XTF files saved on it and in a file on the PC. I even downloaded the insight uploader and insight store........ all I want to do is view the stinking sonar log on my PC! its much nicer on the couch or desk when its this cold outside! I just purchased the PC in NOV and its a dell with windows 8. NOW WHAT? ps I deleted and re-installed the program 3 times to make sure I didn't do something wrong. ALL HELP IS Appreciated! TIA! ( thanks in advance)
Contact Lowrance customer service and see if the program is compatible with Windows 8. Also dig around in the control panel on your computer. There is an option to run programs designed for earlier Windows versions. I have sonar viewer in my 7 desktop, but haven't tried to run it on my 8 laptop.
See if this helps

In spoke with a rep and they told me that You dont have to use the program to just view you screen shots. All you need to do is click on the sd card and type in the .png and it will bring up all the your pictures .pngin file section hit open
.Png how it is saved on you gps when you take screen shots
I think that is why it doesn't open like all the other files. .png isnt a regular listed file on computers I guess
he wants to view the entire log like a video. as you can if you're sitting in the boat.
