i did put a tm mount on--came up with some ram mounts and it is working wonderfully-attached it to the opposite side of the bow from the trolling motor-can remove it in seconds and it deploys similar to the trolling motor

BobB, the $500 off is from HB. Dealers are marking them down even more.

These pics show ball that 360 mounts to, deployed view, and how it is retracted when moving from spot to spot. When going to and from lake it is positioned in a secure location out of sight.

Nice. I moved mine to the driver's side also but kept it on a pvc mount.
Yours and mine are in almost the same position.
If I drop the trolling motor too deep, I see the shadow at about the 11:00 position, ie. pulling jigs and crankbaits. I'd prefer the shadow to be behind me. Now on a mission to mount this in front of the trolling motor.
