I purchased a HB 898 si unit recently and everything is going great. Ive learned a lot here in the forum about its use. I have a question though. In going thru the paperwork and manuals that came with the unit i noticed a Lakemaster user guide. It leads off with a "getting started" section. It tells me to install the Lakemaster card into my fishfinder, no need to register my card, etc.
My question is this: am i supposed to have a free Lakemaster card in my box? Because there was no card just the user guide. Did they include the guide as a means of advertising? If i am supposed to have a card but it was left out by mistake can i obtain one now and if so how should i do that? Any help would be appreciated.

No, the user guide is just there in case you need it.
There is no free LakeMaster card with the units.
LakeMaster and Humminbird (Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronics, Inc.) are both owned by the same corporation (Johnson Outdoors, Inc.).
