BobB my story is somewhat the same I agree, I have been a very loyal fan of Hummingbird for thirty years having owned HB units most of those years, and I understand that with new technology will come problems, but how long do we wait for something to get fixed?
And then to introduce new products that have their own new problems with out fixing the old products is just wrong.
if new automobiles have problems that cant be fixed easily they have a recall on said auto.
I will sit and wait for another year for HB to get this corrected, after that my equipment will be old and out dated ( at the pace they are going with new product release's and price drops ) and I will have saved enough money to replace my electronics.
thanks BobB for the pep talk

well I used the 1198 with 6.74 and everything went great except spot lock, it would not get back to the spot, kept me 25 to 30 ft away in a very light wind, once it took me 60ft away and just went in circles about 40ft in Diameter lol oh well, people in that cove thought I was nutz

Do you have the latest update in the Link?

-
Short Grub I have had the same thing happen as far as going in circles. If I unplug the TM for a few seconds it will fix it. It happens once a month or so on mine. I have the latest software also.
-
Thanks Redge, it was almost fun and funny at the same time, but that shouldn't happen at all
-
Short Grub, I keep looking thinking they will come out with a software update to refine it's skill at staying on the position we have locked it on. I do live in Oklahoma, the wind will change direction almost by the minute, along with variable wind speed!

Redge I went out yesterday, Easter and again around we went lol as I was spider rigging, the good thing about it was I did catch my biggest black crappie going in circles.
I, just like everyone else want it to work as intended that's all, and with new units out on the market I know how old problems get lost in the mix

Short Grub, it is odd how a lot of times I get on the TM to swing off to another place and bam you get a hit!
