GPS to HBPC to SD Card to HB Unit

How I go from GPS point to my humminbird unit? I have put em on my SD card. But will they show up automatically on my side scan? Or do I need to do anything when I put card in unit? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you enter the waypoints in HBPC and then to the card? If so they will auto load. Actually the unit asks you if you want to import new data.

Yes I put em in HBPC then uploaded them to SD

Stuck SD card in unit. Powered it up. Went and looked at waypoints. No new waypoints. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to do something different?

Newer software versions require the unit to be powered up first...then stick the SD Card in...
