Fished Lake Douglas, near Petoski, for a week at a time many years ago. The sun didn't set till late in the summer evening, fun times.
Mackinaw Island is a cool place to go but you'll have to do a bit of walking.
The smoked whitefish in that area are delicious, you need to give them a try.

At least you wet the hook. Nancy says hey and hopes you'll are living it up out there on the road. I'm not fishing to much either, heat and DR. appts. are wearing me out. Had echo and stress test and they say things look good but they cut my BP pill from 100 mg to 25 mg and waiting to see how that works. Maybe I'll get better with this dizzy crap I have.
