With cold water temps and a ton and a half of alewife, we had a flat calm day and decided to try jigging for whitefish. Marked some fish inside of the fish nets and dropped down some jigs, but with a couple of mph current on the bottom it was hard to keep anything down there. Had fun trying and that current means the fish will be working there way up here soon. June 7-8 is Carp Fest and the WI Carp Championship so the Vets launch will be closed in Two Rivers. Seagull Marina will let you launch for free if you have a vets launch pass. Should be close to 40 anglers in the carp tournament and a lot of fun at the Fest. It's also Free Fishing Weekend, so no license needed to fish for the weekend.
