The Salmon Run

We did not have the best results over the weekend with the salmon, the pier area was crowded Sat. and Sun. and we boated 3 kings Sat. for a
6th place finish in the Dock Derby. The Seagull Marina Hog Roast was a great time again. Sunday was a nice day for fishing but not for catching. We trolled all the way to Mantowoc and on the last turn of the day picked up a rainbow. Monday had some potential with little boat traffic and we started with 2 kings early but once the sun broke out we worked for two more and missed one to end our day. It's been a spoon bite, the J-plugs and fastracks were not touched the whole weekend. It does not look like we will see much of a salmon run again this year, a heavy rain may change that, but we have less than two weeks left in our season.
