Finally got some time to work on the guides. The Beatles and Joe Cocker sung about “ A Little Help from my Friends “ and were it not for that, I would still be figuring out the positioning of the guides. Thanks Rich. Still, it took a lot longer than I thought it would. Once I put the reel on and threaded the guides, the payoff was clear. The arch of the line follows the arch of the rod beautifully. Starting at the thicker bottom end, I began wrapping guides. Only had do cut one winding off and redo it, but I’m still not done. Where you see the tape at the top and bottom of the sections is where the spline marks are, and there will be small accent wraps. Still a ways to go, and having fun with it.
