Sounds like it’s getting done. You need to make a list of things for Ms. Joyce. Your “honey do” list sounds much larger than hers. :Rofl

I wish it would work that way. I had to take her for a Dr. Appt. a day or so ago. She's been having some dizzy spells with near falls. Thought it was vertigo problems. Well, now she's got a dozen more appointments and with these spells she's having, on top of everything else, I have to take her for her appointments. Sure glad I love her...LOL.
Man oh man. I've had one of them days. Started out super stiff everywhere body wise this am. Knee's the worst. I finally got started around 9Am., and ran into trouble straight away getting the floor support braces in. Along the wall dividing the laundry room from the dining room is a non-supporting wall. Well right under that is the drain pipe for the washing machine, with the 2x6 floor joist about 6-inchesw on the other side of that. I fought trying to screw the support hanger in where I couldn't see for about 3 hrs and ready to pull my hair out, I called it a day...
Thought about how I could remedy this problem. My driver bit came with the screws and was one of the short ones. Once I calmed down and composed myself, I looked at lowes on-line and found a Driver bit extension. Hoping its a cure. Will find out after dinner. Hope you all are having a great day...
Back at it today. Slow going for sure. I will say this much, This type of work will tell you exactly how out of shape you are. And yes sir, I'm way out there...My fault, no excuses. Going to have to work on it for sure. NOT going to be done today, I know that. Between that and close to 300lbs on my new knee, HA, HA. I'm Having fun...lol...
Not gonna quit, but take lots of breaks, yes. Just need to let the knee relax for 10-15 minutes, then get some more done. Well, all the support framing , (for where the flooring meets) is in. I'm done for today. Time to raise my leg up and use some Ice on it. It's very swollen. Tomorrow's another day. Thankfully, the washer and dryer comes Next Monday, not tomorrow. I have the Dryer vent to install then the subfloor, then the linoleum to put down. After I go get it at Lowes...More to follow...
Spent a few hours getting up and down but It was worth it, I think. Wood putty at joints need to dry, then sand and touch up. Taking a break while it day's, but need to get dinner cooked, then back to this. Need to paint, then put Lenoleum down and baseboards...All most done...Attachment 501859

Looking good!
Yup, looking good.
Still needs a lot of work yet, but getting there. Hoping to be finished completely by Sunday evening.
Momma was after me, She wanted the floor done Now. Well, there is a mistake there that can be fixed without taking the floor back uo. I realized the mistake after I screwed the subfloor in place...Can you spot it??? This is a Laundry room. Washer goes in the corner on the right. Dryer in the far corner on the right where the soda and box of screws are...figure it out??? No Dryer vent.....I'll fix it tomorrow.
The couple next door has an infant baby, and being considerate, I don't start till 8AM, and usually quit by 7PM.
Retrofits are always fun. Keeping at is good for you. "A body in Motion" saying is true. When you can't, you can't, but if you just don't feel like it you must in my book. Keep on Truckin' Bud.
BTW, pictures are always great.
