I and my son had a chance to hit a local strip pit with the float tubes.
We hit the water early. The sky was heavy overcast most of the day and real chilly.
We got on fish right away and both of us were getting some nice gills for this area. I did blunder accross one single crappie on a white/light blue/white hair jig, but the coclor of the day seemed to be hot pink combos of hair and duck feather jigs.
In spite of the chilling breeze it was the day to be there.
That single crappie was a blast when it made a couple side runs within sight in the clear water, but just couldn't hold up to a heavy deep gill in the fight dept. lol ole Mike
