The greatest nation on earth, and they still can't get water and food to visible stranded american citizens.WHY?
Why??
The area is 66% black and most in the area are well below the poverty level. Do you think our court appointed president cares about them? I highly doubt it. It really bothers me to, that we have our troops fighting over seas for oil and dieing, but yet nothing is getting accomplished there and our gas prices keep going up. The day they announced he won this last election, I was so pi**ed off, I can't believe we have 60 million plus stupid Americans out there. He didn't get it done his first go around, so lets give him another chance??????????????????????? My god how stupid can people be, are they afraid of change, I was always told change is good. The thought is in the back of my mind and maybe it will happen, he needs to be removed from office somehow, anyway, and I mean anyway.
There is a rap song out there, Mosh, by Eminem, that is great, anti Bush.
"Mosh"
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the Republic for which it stands
One nation under God
Indivisible...
It feels so good to be back..
I scrutinize every word, memorize every line
I spit it once, refuel and re-energize and rewind
I give sight to the blind, my insight through the mind
I exercise my right to express when I feel it's time
It's just all in your mind, what you interpret it as
I say to fight, you take it as I'mma whip someone's a**
If you don't understand, don't even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a fatherless past
Who has blown up now to rap phenomenon that has
Or at least shows no difficulty multi-task
And in juggling both perhaps mastered his craft
Slash entrepreneur who has helped launch a few more rap acts
Who's had a few obstacles thrown his way through the last half
Of his career typical manure moving past that
Mr. kisses a** crack, he's a class act
Rubber band man, yea he just snaps back
[Chorus:]
Come along follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength
Come with me and I won't steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
To the light at the end of the tunnel
We gonna fight, we gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march
Through the swamp, we gonna mosh through the marsh
Take us right through the doors (c'mon)
All the people up top on the side and the middle
Come together lets all bomb and swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people some white and some black
Don't matter what color, all that matters we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause don't matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yea the wetter the better
They ain't gonna stop us they can't, we stronger now more than ever
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go
Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell we gonna let em know
Stomp, push, shove, mush, **** Bush, until they bring our troops home (c'mon)
[Chorus]
Imagine it pouring, it's raining down on us
Mosh pits outside the oval office
Someone's tryina tell us something,
Maybe this is god just sayin' we're responsible
For this monster, this coward,
That we have empowered
This is Bin Laden, look at his head noddin'
How could we allow something like this without pumping our fists
Now this is our final hour
Let me be the voice in your strength and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify the times it, and multiply by six...
Teen million people, Are equal at this high pitch
Maybe we can reach alqueda through my speech
Let the president answer a higher anarchy
Strap him with an Ak-47, let him go, fight his own war
Let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our own soil
No more psychological warfare, to trick us to thinking that we ain't loyal
If we don't serve our own country, we're patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes its all lies
The stars and stripes, they've been swiped, washed out and wiped
And replaced with his own face, Mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you know why,
Cause I told you to fight.
[Chorus]
And as we proceed,
To Mosh through this desert storm,
In these closing statements, if they should argue
Let us beg to differ
As we set aside our differences
And assemble our own army
To disarm this Weapon of Mass Destruction
That we call our President, for the present
And Mosh for the future of our next generation
To speak and be heard
Mr. President, Mr. Senator
Do you guy's hear us...hear us...[laughing]
Someone has serious issues. Rap music, (if it can be called music) is just another freedom that the Troops offer there lives for. Those who think Iraq is strictly about oil haven't a clue. If we were the "War Mongers" that some proclaim, we would not have an oit problem. We would go in and take it period. Blame the lack of fuel on all the enviromental laws that were passed. Not by Democrats, not by Replublicans, but by Americans. I watched a news report just last week where this guy has been trying to build a new refinery for the last 25 years. He has gone through all the red tape and has an approval to build it. He states it will still take another 4 years to do so. I think that it total garbage.
As for drilling, we now have the technology to tap into our own resources without disturbing the nearby wildlife.
As far as Eminem, don't play it while Crappie fishing, Crappie like Country music. Sides that, someone might sink your boat for you, to put you out of your misery.
Almost every administration has made mistakes. Would you rather Bush did nothing about the 9/11 situation so Bin Laden could make his way to Indianna? While under attack, if you just sit back and do nothing, you will die. The mistake Bush made in my oppinion was to ASSUME that once the people of Iraq were liberated, they would all be so thankful and the mighty USA would look like the good guy. Our leaders had no clue that the extremists would continue killing and attacking. I think they are doing it because it's there chance to attack America because we are already there. Bush wants to secure the Iraqi goverenment and make sure things are going to be OK before we pull out. The training of these people is going to take time, this is a brand new thing to them. It is sad however, that the extremists persist in causing destruction and chaos.
They are as blind as to what they can have, as you are.

Not much to add to that, Crappiereaper, except that I do so enjoy coming
in first thing in the morning and being called stupid - Thats all.
Well, some what in defense of Crappie66, thank you for taking the time to type word for word the lyrical rantings contained within rap which often times go undeciphered. Even though I do not like him, I cannot completely disagree with everything Eminem stated within his lyrics. He does make some accurate points about the state of America. His main message, which I agree with, is that we must fight to take back America from it's own corruption.
Since I am inbetween the age of knowledgable complacency(baby boomers) and radical assumptions/actions (Gen X), I realise what has been done in the past doesn't work, and has to be changed soon. But I also understand that rioting and treacherous acts will not provide the solution either. No one man or political party can be held responsible for our Nation's current state. Somehow, we must all band together, and not go quietly into the night!
I give Eminem props for standing up to be heard. At least there isn't a doubt about where HE thinks the problem originates in the USA, and what needs to be done about it! So many times we point our fingers at the cause of problems, but never offer a remedy or a viable solution to correct it. I guess I point the finger of blame at myself. I never pursued a career in polictics where "I" might have made a difference.
Polli - Latin origin meaning "Many"
Tics - Blood sucking insects that survive off of others
Put them together, and you have the rest.......of the storey! :p

I chose to be stupid in 1977 when everyone I know (including all relatives) was Democratic. Right now there is as much diasaster and rampage as there was in Nixon's term. It's a large burden that I wouldn't want for myself or wish on anyone else. I believe that had the Sept. 11 tragedy happened 10 years ago, America would have tucked our tails and then opened ourselves up to all kinds of violence and mayhem. Its easy to sit up in Hollywood, do all kinds of dope, rape women, and murder others and point a crooked finger at those who you think have the responsibility for the world's problems. I know who CHOSE to stay in NO. Apart from the disabled and unable, it was people that stayed with the whole idea that it was the perfect time to go and get whatever they wanted by looting, which is what they do after EVERY hurricane in south Louisiana. It was worse than most and caught them with their pants down. I know there are good people standed down there that need help, and hope they get it soon, and I know there are a bunch of prospective rappers down there that should be left to the wiles of the sea, in my opinion, but others will be ordered to risk their lives to save each and every one of them, GOOD OR BAD!

You show your ignorance by starting out bashing rap music. I like all music, rap, r&b, rock, and even country, actually own more country cd's than any other genre. You are correct when you stated the troops fought for our right to listen to rap music or any other style for that matter. They did not fight to free other countries, we have no place over there, let them do their own thing, just like we had to. Just think of all the money and resources that would be available if your dip**** President (he isn't mine) would worry more about our homefront. You also made another idiotic comment about what was he supposed to do, what do you mean??? Last I remember Iraq as a country had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack, it was an isolated group called Alqaeda, so go get them and Bin Laden and not Sadam.
And now your idiotic president is refusing and turning away help from other countries. Is your man trying to prove some point that we can take care of it ourselves? Your pride doesn't feed you, so take the damn help if it is offered.
I am actually concerned with the state of our country, every empire has it's downfall. Look at Russia, they were once the most powerful country, now look at them. I hope to god it doesn't happen to our country.
The only way to get this country back on track is to remove your president from office. And this has nothign to do with Republican or Democrat, I am not one sided. I don't care what label they have, I look more at what they will do for us Americans.
Crappie66, I think you need to sit back and cool a little bit. Everyone needs, as my Dad would say is take a chill pill. Not everything in life is going to go the way you want it too and you must learn to deal with it. I see alot of rage on here about what's going on now and even several years ago and as we Americans have always had some kind of conflict since becoming a country but, we have always survived whatever it was. Whether we liked it or not. I am a strong believer in voicing your own opinion but like a**holes everyone has one. So, hears mine. What really gets to me is when people like Crappie66 talk about not being his President, now that really strikes a cord with me. If you feel that even though your man didn't win the election and that the man we now have in office is not your president then the best thing for you to do is find you another country to move too. I have two sons serving in the military that have both put their lives on the line for all of us to enjoy the freedoms we have today and yes they had questions on whether it was right or wrong but they both realize that our leaders are like the rest of us. They are human and make errows in decisions. By looking at Crappie66's profile (age 27 ) you have not experienced near the amount as many others on hear have. No, I didn't or have not served in the military. Yes, My grandfathers(WWII), father(Korean ) bother (Vietnam), two sons(Present) but I believe they all have done what was asked by our country whether they thought it was right or wrong. The big thing to me is we must all work together as a team. Not against each other. Team stands for (Together Everyone Accomplishes More). Quite simple don't you think?
Well, that's my two cents worth for whatever. We need to pray for all mankind and the things that are going on here in OUR GREAT NATION and around the world.
That was a million cents worth - LOVETOFISH. And you didn't have to resort to rudeness or name calling to stress a point. I guess some peoples language and mentality are on a four letter basis.
Yes, Mo'nBack maybe a little long but no way RUDE.

Remember the general or whoever it was that was letting the people into the super dome clearly stated prior to the hurricane that they were making absolutely no plans to provide the refugees water or food. They were only concerned about being alive on the Tuesday after the hurricane. If those who were able had left when ordered instead of making plans to loot the services we had down there would have been able to handle the situation.
My friends, we have just met a couple of liberals through their text. Liberalism is a mental disorder. Need I say more.
At least Bush hasn't decided he wasn't their President so he wasn't going to try to support them at all. I'm sure a lot of people who's homes were destroyed and all their possessions, jobs, pets, friends, kin folks, and lives in general lost, didn't vote for Bush. But I bet that they will be happy to recieve the help that the armed forces that he leads provides, as soon as they get there. This catastrophe covers a 90,000 mile area, and the president can't snap his fingers and make it go away. Nor could Senator Kerry, Ralph Nader, Ronald Reagan, Franklin Roosevelt, JFK, Elmer Fudd, The Tooth Fairy, The Easter Bunny or any other character. Unless you got God's Nextel Direct Connect # handy we might ought to do all do we can to help, and realize the Presidents hands are somewhat tied, the enormity of the destruction is really just now coming to light. And throwing money on a fire won't put it out.
LOL, got a kick out of that one Pox.
Lovetofish, thank your sons from all of us for their service to our great Country!
And to anyone who reads this who has served.....THANK YOU!
I saw something on the news today where black leaders are begining to make this into a issue of race. How unfair is that? A previous post stated that New Orleans was 66% black. I do not know if it is true.
I do know that if I lived in a city that was already 10 feet below sea level, and the biggest Hurricane since Camille was headed my way, ima thinkin, me gonna split the chit outta dare. Those without transportation coulda taken a bus, hitchiked, anything to get out. And if the Feds spend the billions to rebuild something that can happen again, then I will tell the Feds they are ignorant. I vote to trash the levees and make New Orleans one big azz fish habitat. Or at least truck in 40' of fill and build the city to 30' above sea level.

If it appears to you that I called you stupid, please forgive me. I have read most every post you have made and respect your opinion. Maybe I read into this post wrong. But, one thing is for sure. I don't think you're stupid by any means.Quote:

Go back up a couple above my original post, and I think it will all be clear.
I didn't exactly vote for bush so much as against Kerry - where he lost me
for sure was when he started talking about how foreign leaders had told
him they wanted him to win, or whatever all that junk was. If, in fact,
he was talking to such people about such things, while we are at war, to
me that is unforgiveable, even treasonous. I am major pi**ed at the Europeans, so whatever
they want, I am against. And I asked myself this too, who do you think
Al-Quaida and Saddam wanted to win? So I went the other way. Simple as
that. Of course thinking about watching his wife on TV for four years was
another thing as well. Not the deciding thing, but a strike against him, in
my book. About reading my post - you mean anybody actually reads
all that :p Jeff
all that needs to be said - or all that some can say? At least some on
here, who I am in complete disagreement with, have suggested what they
think would fix the problems. It's a lot easier to point fingers than it is to
actually come up with a solution.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Very true JW. No one man or one party is the cause nor are they the solution. Virulent rhetoric from rap singers or anyone else is counter productiveQuote:

I dont like our gas prices either, but it could be worse. I heard that the average price of a gallon of gas in europe is 5 dollars a gallon, and thats not due to any shortage, thats what they normally pay. If you people think the bush family is just in the war for oil. When we liberated Kuwait, we could have just taken their land and oil, we gave it all back.
Taxes, taxes, taxes
What accounts for the high cost of British gas, or petrol as it is known in the U.K.? Taxes, taxes, taxes.
Between approximately 65 and 75 percent of the price of gasoline in the U.K. is taken as taxes. U.S. drivers are paying a seemingly paltry 27 percent of their gas bill to the government.

The discovery of oil hastened negotiations over the composition and the functions of TPC. The shareholders signed a formal agreement in July 1928. The Anglo-Persian Oil Company, the Dutch Shell Group, the CFP, and the Near East Development Corporation (which represented the interests of five large American oil companies) each held 23.7 percent of the shares, and Gulbenkian the remaining, but nonvoting, 5 percent. TPC was organized as a nonprofit company registered in Britain that produced crude oil for a fee for its parent companies, based on their shares. TPC was limited to refining and marketing for Iraq's internal needs to prevent any competition with the parent companies. The Anglo-Persian Oil Company was awarded a 10 percent royalty on the oil produced, as compensation for its reduced share in TPC

Moose you are right, OIL and GREED is what it is.
I will again say he isn't my president, and as an AMERICAN I have the right to choose whether or not I call him mine or not.
Today while watching CSPAN they showed America's weapon of mass destruction, Mr. Bush talking about the area as he walked through the aftermath. What was his main concern, getting the oil lines back up and running, he took more pride in that than anything else. Hell I bitch about gas prices, but come on it doesn't hurt the wallet that much, what's an extra $20 dollars a week. The people there are more important, getting them food, water, and shelter. But yet he is more concerned about getting that oil pumping out so he can make more money, he is greedy, he already has more money than most of us will ever have.
As far as people going on and on saying they have sons in the military. That is great, I respect what they do, but at the same time they chose to sign up and knew it was a possibility when signing up, I don't ever remember a draft in my lifetime where they were forced to join the military. And you being a father of military boys it blows my mind how you can sit back and defend the idiot for putting your sons in a place they don't belong.
Listen folks, the main reason the recovery effort is taking so long down there is because they have a shortage of fuel. It doesnt take a genious to figure that out. They have to get those lines running to help with the recovery effort. Didnt you see all those pictures of people waiting in line for gas.
Now, all you folks whining about relief not getting there fast enough, your right, a extremely crappy job is or was being done. Now it is time to put your money where your mouth is. I gave 1k to the Red Cross, if you want to see the reciept I can produce that too.
Maybe someone can organize a fund through Crappie.com and show the folks we fishermen care. However, I'm sure many of us have given. I can still pitch in a few more dollars.
Crappie66,
I've been on various INet forums since 1997.You Sir,have got to be the dumbest SOB I've yet to encounter !!!!
Sorry to the rest of the good folks here.

In his last message he said something about his mind being blown. This probably explains his stupid statements. Hopefully he will seek medical help.

Well, you gotta look beyond your dislike for him to see what goes on in La. and New Orleans. It is a crooked state and a crooked town. Everyone is on the take. At least it would be constructive to your cause.
Dem. city council, Dem. mayor, Dem. Governor, Dem. Senator in La. You want to waylay blame, it starts with them first then runs on up to "W".
