I love days like this. Thanks Larry for the invite this morning.
Time fished: Noon till 5pm
Bait used: Crickets, wax worms, and crappie jigs.
Total count: Larry 40 plus gill with a few redears. Me 40 gills, a few redear, and one small lmb.

Pokerface, did you weigh or measure the length of these fish? I was just wondering, I got into a gang of bluegill and GA Giants yesterday while fishing for bass. Great job.

I wouldn't have a clue which state is "golden":confused:, but those are doggone nice gills.
Sounds like you guys had a ball out there on that huge lake.

Great photo essay pokerface. That's the nicest bunch of gills sizewise I have seen for awhile. Do many people fish for them out in Kalifornia? I assume you are in So Cal. Any good gill lakes up in Northern Cal .... closest to Tahoe?

I don't know of any, but there are several lakes closer to you loaded with plenty of Sac Perch. IMO these are tastier than the bluegills.

Nothing is tastier than a bluegill. Although those do look good even on the stringer.

That's what I thought before also. Don't get me wrong I still love them gills.

Our "gold mine" gets spent faster then we can dig it by our state officials. Makes fishing alot harder. They closed all state parks, because they couldn't pay their employee's. What's wrong with this picture.
