New Jigs

First two pics are 1/32 and 1/16 nickle plated jigs with new chenilles,three colors courtesy of flatfish.1st pic chenilles are white ice and pink pearl,second pic is flatfish's baitfish and morning haze.Third picture are rubber butt buggers,1/24 on a #4 black chrome sickle in the colors firetiger and pink shad. Those plated jigs really have flash compared to unpainted and silver powder paint.I poured the heads and sent them out to be plated.In the future I plan on getting some sickles gold plated.What do you think?

The black chrome looks deadly. Is the plating expensive?

Ledhed,those are silver plated jig heads,although once I got these I thought a black nickle would be great for gills and trout. Perhaps later this year after we do the golds we'll get some black nickles in as well. Cost wasn't bad at all,went in on it with another cc member.gotta get some 4 and 6 bronze sickles in so we get them poured and sent off.I'll find out when I go to work tomorrow how long it will take.Probably order 10,000 bronze sickles.Hopefully they won't be backordered.This new stuff has me pumped.

I really like top left and the middle 2. The bottom ones are a little different but I do like them. They would all work around here for one thing or another. Can't wait to get some of that chenille and tie some up.

I like the hackle on the bottom 2 but have a question on it. They are size 4 right? The hackle seems huge if they are. How wide does it make the jigs?

silver model car paint made by ttestors have a good shine also. but 1 bad thing hard to find a clear coat that wont dull it

Grubs,that jig you asked about is flatfish's custom "baitfish" #421. Fish_,some of the black hackle may be a little long,but it will slow the drop speed more.I tied up a dozen and sometimes some hackles will be longer than others,I pulled them from one area of the neck. I don't size my hackle. As long as it isn't tooo big or small it will do. Crappies don't seem to mind,if I could only find some.

Those are nice and will catch some fish.
