Up to Tech to see our son on Saturday. His cell phone died and we need to take him the new one. He is staying there and taking classes over the summer. As soon as I can swing a golf club decently again, we plan to play both of Tech's courses.
Family Mother's Day dinner at the in-laws Sunday. For those that do not understand why I cannot fish and make the dinner, dinner is a 6 to 8 hour event at the in-laws. You have to arrive at least four hours before the advertised dinner time. Snacks and drinks are even controlled. I usually find a tv and sit in front of it until dinner time.
We have had a little more conversation lately as the M-I-L goes through her second round of chemo for breast cancer and I'm fighting colon cancer. It turns out we go to the same provider. I say hello to her nurse every other Tuesday.
You all need to cancel your plans for tomorrow and instead come to the yard sale at my house. I'm sure there will be tons of crap that you really need, and I'm offering a 10% discount to all my C.C bretheren.

I really want to go to Kerr but right now it's 40%-50% chance of thunderstorms so I'm going to have to get up early and check the radar to make my decision. I'll go in a heartbeat if it's only rain but lightening keeps me off the water.
I started building a replacement deck on the back of my house two weeks ago, and due to the weather, I've only completed the framing.:( I still have to install the composite decking and trim. If the weather holds through saturday, I may get far enough along to squeeze in some time on Lake Anna on Sunday.:confused: Of course, I will tell my wife that it is her "Mothers' Day Present", but she may not buy that one!!!:D

I'm trying to get a bunch of stuff done today so we can try a short trip to the Nottoway this afternoon. All that rain made this place look like a jungle. 5 acres to mow........
I also want to see what all the rain did to the river/fish.

Might call around, or check some other web sites, I do remember seeing something about rudi inlet haveing no access while ramp is closed.
Just got back from the Nottoway in Sussex. Muddy fast water at 67 degrees seems to have shut the fish down. Had a few bites but not one fish in the boat in the short time I was there. Hope things are looking better down yalls way. I might have to take a trip down there and try the nottoway below courtland. I haven't had much luck fishing around sussex. Saturdays weather is looking pretty ruff and My Main GPS/Depthfinder died on me again so I might just stay in for the rest of the weekend. Seems like every time I go fishing lately I break something:eek:
15mph winds muddy and fast high water Im cancelling weekend fishing and do some chores....patch up few spots in the driveway, restraw and gravel dust dog pens, cut grass and weed wack, trim up four wheeler trails a bit, finish up my bucket garden(damn deer), cook up some pork butts and a deer ham, and drink up some miller lites , theres always late afternoons and later in the week when things calm back down in the local rivers,,,,,,everyone that goes have fun be safe and good luck to ya and keep us posted :cool::cool:
