I'm in
Give me some ideas for where and when and I'll get a couple of polls going.
full moon may 9th
We could do something central like Smith Mountain or we could do one that hasn't been done for a while maybe Chick or the James. Kerr is always a fav. Or just to make everyone want to stop fishing we could try Western Branch LOL!!!!! I think the 9th would be best case for good fishing but it is a little close at this point. What about the 16th?
the may full moon shuts the beds down for crappie and bass and lets them other panfish and catfish take a wack at it for the next 30 or so ....I found second and third weeks of may is a big transition period according to my small memory section that aint quite burnt yet.....godws natural culling process fry swimming everywhere and bream bluegill preferred shalow temps thats why we catching them shallow as of lately and the craps are getting thin and small size does matter in people dogs fish birds etc, as far as dominance goes, better beat the fat man to the table ................the gar get active gotta have a bully of course.......carp show up looking like stump structure from a distance....but those first ledges just before deep water are full of all kinds of variables ........16th good with me rain or shine count my behind .thunder lightening you'll not see me frightened.......:eek::eek:
Here are 4 new bash sites for consideration:

We're gonna be in Hatteras from May 15th - 25th. Slab ya need to PM me if you want to fish!:)
Sundays work for me. The 9.9 thing maybe a problem but surely I can back seat with somebody if need be. I would perfer to go somewhere that doesn't have restrictions but i will work with anything.
Sandy River is the only one of my 4 that allows gas engines (10 hp or less.) It's in the direction of Farmville (not far from Briery Creek Lake) and is a beautiful facility.
Well then, it's decided. Sandy River.
Sandy river sounds great! I do not hear much about it on this board. Not a lot of home court advantage? Should not be any honey hole taking!!
I am at a loss of how to catch them after the spawn. Any suggestions?
Are they just scattered and you get lucky trolling around?
Any one know of camping in that area?
Did I read an all night lake?
Is the water clear?
Oh, thought this started out as a bream bash. "Traditional" time of year. I see now that was another thread.
If it's a crappie bash, I'll fish locally for crackers. No offense intended. It's just that time of year for me.
I would not be opposed to a shell or bream bash either. We could do one on the Blackwater, NWR, Nottoway or Maybe every the James. We could even do a multi species bash best 5 Crappie and 5 Shells or Bream. I would still perfer to do it on a location with no restrictions. That way everyone can be included.
In no way did I mean to influence what this bash was about. I was just thinking incorrectly. It happens a lot, according to my wife.
You guys go for what sounds good.
alright ladies, lets just make it a get together try to catch everything and the biggest or heaviest of the species wins. Mike I can put my 9.9 on so we could team up and beat these old folks up
