Good for you. I went Friday and Sturday and did horrible. Friday I caught three keepers but also caught 9 bass. Problem was, I wasn't fishing for them. One bass did go over three pounds. Where did you fish? I am taking my boys Friday again before the cold front comes in.
Put in at oppossum ridge.Fished banks without standing timber and pitch a minnow at every laydown and piece of wood in the water. You can probibally catch them in the standing timber to but just hate to fight all that crap.Going to take my son back tomorrow after school as long as its not storming.
we're gonna try and have a get together on Taylorsville, this coming Saturday. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/kentu...-together.html
Weather permitting, and if the storms don't flood it between now and then ;)
Appreciate any reports, and hope you'll consider joining us.
.... cp
On Derby day:confused:
Amen Louie.... I see a big cold front is going to be pushing through and dropping the temperature into the 60's. I was looking to go out in the rain on Friday but I will see if the wife might let me head out on Saturday.
I've always gone fishing on Derby day, so I couldn't agree more.
But I wouldn't plan a meeting on that day, it may be hard to believe
but most plan parties/family activities that day and won't be available,
even the ones that want too.
Did you get my PM?
Joe
I cant tell anyone a thing about taylorsville but the crappie are on the bed at green river! Anyway I have baseball games on saturday so I wont be there.
Did pretty darn good today. Caught 16 crappie with only one dink. The wife caught the largest at 1lb 9ounces. We also caght 10 bass but all were in the small range. We only got to fish for 4 hours but am hoping to be back tomorrow. Almost every fish was caught about the final hour before the storms started. Hopefully these storms won't mess up to much tomorrow but I have a feeling they will.
Thinking of going tomorrow if it does not muddy up, can't go today have soccer games. How did you get em? If you do go today please let me know if it is muddy or not.
I didn't go today because the cold front pushed through. Kind of kicking myself now because I am bored to death. One of those days where I figure you would not have done much on the lake but it would have been better then sitting here watching tv. Might head out tomorrow but hear the weather is supposed to be horrible.
