Lakeview

Hit the lake at 11am and went right back to mud lake where I caught limit big fat females last week. Fished 2 hours, no bite. Wind picked up and hit ditch. Fished another 2 hours, no bite. Hit main lake wind picked up more decided to go home. No bites, no fish. Tell ya, there are some nice fish in that lake but very unpredictable. Guess cold ran em back out to main lake.

A couple of buddies have been cathcing them the last couple of days. I go with them this afternoon and we only catch 8. That lake is very finicky, they said the fish wouldn't bite yesterday with a north wind blowing, but as soon as it switched to the West they would start biting again.

Went yes. got there at 6:am and headed to the gravel pit, caught 3 right off the bat 12-15 in. busting full of eggs figured i was gonna wear em out. Then the fit hit the shan. Something hit one of my poles like a rocket and the ride was on chased that dude for 35 min. in the mean time got into a pack of gar and they wrecked two other poles. All of this in 15mph of wind. Finally got that dude close to the boat,it was about a 15-20lb asian carp hooked in tail. Got my jig back unharmed. Was using a 12 ft wm and 6lb. line.Left there and went to Mud lake and caught 2 more over 12in. then at about 9:30 i swear the wind started to blow straight down packed up and got out of dodge.

Asian carp are bad news....along with the Gar...someone needs to put a bounty on those fish.....if there were money to be had , say $5 per gar, $10 per asian carp...maybe someone would get into the business....

anyone been to lakeview in the last couple days? want to go somewhere in the am.

Fished all afternoon and only caught 2. Caught them in the gravel pit right at dark. Got a good report from a guy while leaving the landing though so I guess I will be back out there tomorrow afternoon. Hope the wind isn't as bad b/c it was brutal today.

Males are up shallow 2 in fow. Caught a limit yest aft in 1.5 hours. All fish about 10.5-13" long. They would knock the pole out your hand if you wern't ready.

mudlake or on the main lake ?

Main Lake in brushtops. Didn't catch one around a tree

Jigs ?

I fishede yesterday as well and got alot of small crappies... a few Big ones were caught by a couple of my buddies using minnows up close around the brush shallow.. I was casting across flats with a roadrunner and got nothing worth keeping... Just got a couple shellcrackers jumping the roadrunner and 1 catfish.. LOL,,, Tomorrow a better day!

I fished yesterday and caught several good ones. I had same results as previous post....not up in trees
