Yep i think that move would pretty much take care of your bad guide problem
Especially if he keeps putting your boat up on the mud flat and has to get pulled off!
no, this guy definately no crappie king, just a good buddy..
shugley looks like yall had fun if you ever get down to central Ms give me a shout.
We had a blast just wish they'd turned on before the fifth day....The fishin buddy I was refering to was the guy getting ready to take the oar in the noggin, didn't realize there was a "fishin buddy" here sorry for the confusion..As far as coming back, hopefully well be back bext year,we had a great time and met alot of really nice folks....Oh yeah and we also met wannabe, lol!
Just got back from Weiss Lake in Alabama. Fish KY Lake all the time. Wanting to hit Mississippi now. Needing some help on who are some of the best. Anyone got a suggestion?
I don't know alot of guides on Grenada but the one I would like to fish with would be John Harrison. John Harrison Guide Service | www.***************
Good Luck
John is a friend of mine and can put you on fish.
Save your $$$ buy a map and get after it yourself. Its not that hard to find a few places. Now I do not know the guide mentioned above and have had no dealing s with him(Im sure hes good) just stating my oppinion on hiring guides in general
If you pay attention here on this board, you'll meet enough people and get enough tips that you ought to be able to get on the fish, in my opinion. Its a good group around here, always willing to help out.
If you are planning on hiring a guide, PM me. I'll give you all of thier numbers...
So I am assuming you guys suggest Grenada as a pretty good lake? I fish KY Lake a lot and Weiss Lake in Alabama but always like looking for a change in places. This lake caught my attention with the 12" size limit because I have always wished KY Lake would do the same thing.
Naw man I dont know what youve heard but there aint no crappie in Grenada lake, just white bass and carp!
Grenada can be unforgiving. It's a great lake, but can be very frustrating too. And ROUGH in a wind. The best thing about it is it's proximity to other options....Enid, Sardis, Ross Barnett and a host of Delta Lakes as well.
Don't pay no attention to Bigger, he's in a foul mood since he got skunked Friday.
Wannabe...
Grenada can make you a Hero or Zero. That lake still holds my personal best day and maybe 5 of the most frustrating days. If you are new to the lake a good guide is worth the money. That's my thought on Grenada.
I consider my home lake Kentucky lake and it can be horrible in the wind. I want to hire a guide at least once or twice to learn the lake at least a little and see how you catch them there. I mainly long line troll. Does anyone do that are are you mainly spider rigging.
I drive from Iowa(12hrs) to fish Grenada if that helps! Wannabe is right though, you may draw a blank for 5 days. It is rough fishing but I go for one fish, not limits. One 3lber and I go home.
I fish KY lake too and if I were you, I would stay there!
What you get with a guide (the 1 mentioned)is he fishish every day whether guiding or not and know's where the fish are regardless of weather.
Thanks for your help and I am also looking for that one fish. Don't mind catching a cooler full but really want the 3 pounder.
Well, we just went about a week ago and yes it is real unforgiving. The wind can be real unforgiving. We got skunked for 4 days, even with wannabe's help lol....Wanted a 3lber also but caught a 2.6 last day and had a blast while we was there, very nice people there and here ! !
