Finally able to post some pics. I had planned on doing this earlier today, but did not work out. Hope everyone will post a pic of their jig tying space. Mine is in the garage. Built a special room out there to relax and house my treasures. Nice 8' by 12' cell and the Wife thinks she is punishing me by sending me out there! Anyone volunteer to help me clean up, come on by tomorrow. :D Everyone needs a mancave.

Looks to be better stocked than most BassPro or Cabelas stores. Great looking mancave why would you ever want to leave it. I've got nothing to show except a couple of shoe boxes and a wallyworld bag.

My cave isn't near as nice ,sides" still on the look out for a decent camera as lost the cord that attaches to the drive ,got's a unique shape"one of a kind thing!The camera doesn't take good pic's anymore either"...:rolleyes:

Sorry can't hook you up on a vise - they are mostly vintage or antique. Nothing wrong with tying on them - there is too much new stuff out there. I happen to like the Regals......
I like Ship's idea - lot's of natural light - organized. That's the inspiration to clean up.
I dont tie but those are some manly lookin caves fer sure, they reek of testosterone.
Those are the kind of places a man could feel right at home.
thats just perfect!all i got now is my vise set up on my computer desk.don't have as much bright colored stuff either.when i ever get back upstairs to my real room,that will be a man cave in one!i'll have my reloading press set up and my tying vise can't wait :D
I don't have enough time to spend on a dedicated room or shed, maybe one day. I just have a corner of the dining room as seen in these file photo's. Weather's good enough now to take everything out of it and get 3 or 4 coats of urethane on it. The Hoosier is the Wife's.
This is my tying area,computer area.Plus the kitchen,that file cabinet is full of poured jigs,calf tails,flash chenille,all tying STUFF.On top of the dog kennel is molds,jig cases and of course ole Billy Bob bass on the wall,lol.With all the fish pictures.

My son got me that for Christmas many years ago,lol.He ran it out of batteries,then it never worked again,thank God,I like em.
Here is my man-cave. Plan on having my tying station in the left corner of the first pic. Got my vice in today and hope to order some supplies next week. Can't wait to get started tying some jigs. Been reading all I can and watching every video on u-tube about tying jigs:)
That pool table can hold a lot of materials and jigs,lol.
I dont' have a man cave when I tie it's on a fold out wood stand and I put my pedestal vice and clamp vise on it.

Just funnin, AZ. I've seen lots of those.
Have a few pictures that I think are most of the room. Other than the wall cabinets double row from ceiling to floor that you see in the first shot everything else as far as cabinets and the book case are all full of tying stuff and all my paint is in another room. The ones in the first picture are all full of fishing stuff, bass baits (many never opened), soft plastics for bass and crappie, line and just all kinds of fishing things in general. You also can't see the 2 five gallon buckets full of feathers under my desk, LOL! Oh and the huge desk is also full of tying stuff.

LOL, Yes it has taken 4 years without taking money from the tying sales for bills at all and just about 100% into more materials to get here. Way too much money in this bunch of materials.Quote:

Drool Drool Drool!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah I wish I had that much but for what I do it's enough plus all my fly tying hackle and hooks, and spinner making stuff, and molds and molding equipment and that's why I don't (Ok - truthfully why the wife won't let me get into the plastics making areana LOL).
I hope to have my own room for tackle and a tying desk ah well someday

Got my work station set up and ready to start tying. One thing I ordered wrong was the thread. Some how I ordered un-waxed thread. Are there something that has to be done to this thread after tying a jig with it?
