I am headed to Greers next week and have never fished the lake before. Anybody willing to help a brother out with where I might start? Not wanting your "spot", just some guidance in the general direction. :)

If the cold fronts get on out of here you should be able to catch them next week in the buck brush.
creekslick is right on....we just need to get some steady warm weather and they should be in the brush....good luck and let us know how you do.
Hello QM, Bucket (0) Mouth here. I fish GF quite a bit from Hill Creek back to Choctaw so if you are in that area will try to help some. Blacks are (or were) in the buckbrush but this cold snap may bring the back out for a couple days until it wams up. Whites are still in the standing timber or were as of this past week end. Let me know if I can help you with an area on the upper end of the lake.
Anybody on here have any experience catching slabs on the Heber/Dam side of Greers Ferry? What about around the Cherokee park area or Peter creek?
I'm coming from Searcy but have never been on the lake. I am open to fishing where I need to.
I fished at Hill Creek for a few hours this evening with minimal success. I boated 1 big crappie, 1 bream, 1 very small kentucky, and 1 medium size turtle. Quite a bit of fishing pressure in that area.
Fished Middle Fork Yesterday (Wed) about 6 hours. Caught 12 average Crappie, one nice walleye, several whites and a couple brem. Not really a good day..they were scattered and had their mouth closed.
Focus on Sugar Creek and Choctaw
Fish out of an older type fiberglass bass boat 16' with Honda 25hp green in color. We fished from around 9am until 3:30pm....put in at partain and fished above the launch and also down around the Island. Had our best luck down around the island on the north east bank. I also fish Choctaw quite a bit. What type boat are you running. I also do a lot of catfishing when the Crappie slow down a little. If you see me on the lake just give a big holler.:)
Hey Bucket,
I fish a lot on Greers but have never had much luck with the catfish. Any suggestions on some general areas to check out for them
thanks
