Slow Day
Got on the water a little late, bout 830-9 fished till noon and only bagged 2 black crappie. Wind had picked up and everyone I talked with didnt do much better. The ones I did catch were bout a foot deep in 2-3 FOW using minnows. Water temp still creeping into high 50's and barely 60 when out of the wind.
With colder temps headed this way next week, fishin and tryin to "catch the spawn" is gonna be even more difficult.
Over all nice day to motor around and wet a hook.

Yesterday was slow for me too,did catch a few,the eggs where a few weeks off yet maybe more.
Today wasn't any better, all throw backs, did however catch the blackish crappie I've even seen.Almost total black,if it hadn't been hand size I would have mounted it.
Fighting the wind gust wasn't fun today, trying to land the jig close to limbs and trees was tough.

It was slow for me on Greers. My Mom and Sister came up from Mississippi and wanted to fish so we tried to slow troll with the pontoon. Wind and pontoon and slow troll do not work. I think they caught 10 but not the size that I have been catching. Still a good day to be on the water with a parent that loves to fish.

We fished noon until dark on Saturday on Greer's - caught maybe 15-17 crappie, 10 keepers and 8 of them dandy crappie in the 13"-14" ranger but overall a SLOW day

I stayed home, too darn windy.

I fished Brewer and only managed only 6 before getting blown off the lake. I talked to at least a dozen other fisherman and it was slow for everyone.

I was wanting to go today but man fighting the wind for 3 days has gave me out, tired.Yesterday was fun just about time you figured out what speed the TM should be set on to handle the strong winds.A wind gust would hit ya and blow you backards, sideways and even into brush before you had time to dail up the TM lol. When the wind gust hit the water it looked like fish waves leaving in a hurry.
Thank I'll wait until friday before I give it another try and let things settle down a bit. They hallowering for rain thursday so maybe that rain will turn them on instead of off.

My dad and I caught 25 this past Saturday. To see the pics and the full report look at my last post in the Degray & Greeson Habitat Thread.
Doesn't look like I'm going to get to fish this weekend. I'll probably be cutting bamboo all weekend. Everyone catch a big 'un for me.
