This is what I did with the transom mount to mount it to my trolling motor:
Attachment 26439
I did excatly what (TNT) did they offer a mounting kit but this works just as well & cost a lot less.:)
Hey Guys,
Thanks A TON..I think you saved me some bucks here..
Again thanks..
BB :) :D
i was looking at buying that model, i only have one of those 90 dollar eagle FF. forget the model but one of those good only for temp and depth. does that 565 work good for showing brushpiles, REAL fish, and bottom type. i've already wasted my 90 bucks on my current one, and want to make sure i get something i'll be happy with.
I,ve got mine on the front & like it for the money, yes you can track a jig & see bottom pretty well i think it,s worth the money. Seems like theirs a site somewhere you can go to for simulators to check out before you buy.
Wish you guys had posted this a month ago, I just bought a 565, and of course I ordered the TM adapter. $*%&^!
Yeah, I USED to be the same way....
Buy before really researching items. The internet and lot of Guys sure HELP me out..
Thanks to EVERYONE..
Some companies used to let you pick the transducer you wanted or swap it out if the transducer you bought was still in the wrap or hadn't been mounted. Try contacting HB and ask...
As long as the transducer has not been mount you can return the transducer with the hardware and get it exchanged to a trolling motor transducer.
See I was right. Ain't Hummingbird good!!!!
Now if I could just get some feedback on the HB580. I was going to buy the 565 and the 580 is another $135. I mainly fish small lakes and ponds and am wondering if I need GPS on my unit. I like to crappie fish and was thinking the speed indiactor provided by the GPS as well as mark fishing spots. I was wondering how or if the 580 stores the honey hole locations and also if it did does it have a internal memory chip that would maintain these locations no matter what.
I've looked at the brochere but it doesn't describe the functions in depth.
Also BPS doesn't sell the 580.
I miss getiing this kind of information from the reps at the outdoor shows.
i bought the 565 and plan to buy a independent gps unit at a later time. from what i understand this is the best way to get a good GPS unit w/out breaking the bank.
So do you guys think that for $200, the HB 565 is the best unit out there. I don't really want to spend much more. Also is the dual beam sonar much better than a single beam, because the 535 is about 40 bucks less.
I personally like the Dual Beam and the reason being is that you get more bottom coverage if you are looking for brush pile.
Yes the dual beam is better! if your looking straight with a single beam just think of it as being able to see a few feet futher out to the sides of your boat just for example say 10 foot per side that could make all the difference in the world. (jmho)
