fished about an hour and half this evening, just before the cold north wind hit. caught 35 and kept 22. caught most on shiners and a few on blue and white. all were 2ft deep in 4-7fow

river is high and muddy. i was close to the old river in the cypress trees

went back to felsenthal yesterday. water was up another foot. fished from 1pm til dark. at 5pm only had 1 crappie. was just about to leave and stopped back by a small grove of cypress that i had already fished earlier without a bite, ended up catching 29 and kept 27. all on shiners 2ft deep in 2.5fow

Great catch Boswell! Persistance and patience will pay off........ I don't suppose you have ventured over to Jones' Lake lately or heard any good rumors??
havent heard anything lately. i did notice sunday that Lapoile creek was still bad muddy with a lot of current. most of that water comes thru blue lake and caney bayou, so the river may be cutting thru there. i'll c what i can find out for ya thoQuote:
