That's a nice looking jig you've got there Skip! I like the look of the pattern. You did a really nice job with that jig.
That looks super Skip excellent job. I can see why it took awhile to get it just right..
Skip,That is nice.
What size jig head??
You think you could "you Tube" a video on how to do something like that??

im goin to send a pm
lookin' mighty fine there skip!
Thanks guys I appreciate that. This is one of the things like it is sitting there waiting on you. I started messing with this a long time back, maybe even close to 2 years, but I would tie one or two and get it wrong and give up. Put that out of my head and months go by and I see it every once in a while, but I don't like things that for some reason I am missing a big part. I read that and read that until I was blue in the face and just couldn't see it.
I even had one of my early failures on my web site kind of hidden in the open and wouldn't you know it, a guy wanted some with his order so thin I had to get R done.
Now I see it easy and don't know why or even why it was so hard to try again.
Oh and on the video, I have thought about trying to make one for something else for a good while too so we will see.
Anyway thanks a lot,
Skip
Very nice.
Sorry missed the size question, this was a 1/32 oz jig head.

we need to get folks that are in the same area together for a 'live' tying session sometime and then go hit the water and catch us a mess o' crappie!
That looks awesome Skip......reminds me of the perch pattern you see on a lot of commercial lures.
Very nice. Looks like it will be an awesome fish killer.
I have done a couple different crochet/weaves and have never gotten the stripes like that ones. Will have to look at my older stuff and see if I have any of my other patterns with the checkerboards.
I will definitely need that one to work into my patterns, especially for fish patterns.

I would think that if I took the time to keep the stripes in the right place I could get close. But I haven't done this type of tying for years, I think this one was made in 2000-'01. I would really have to look to find where I learned this one from.
Here you go, it's Tiger Weave Bitch (sorry for the name, but I didn't give this name to it, LOL!

Thanks for linking the tutorial Skip.
I've been wondering how I was going to pull off doing a multi-color wrap like those found on the old "Jig Fly" patterns:
