thanks ragfly, I guess there is not a lot going on in folsom pa going by the first responce posted.
i beleive Some would have been a better way to put it! i am an avid bass fisherman and love crappie fishing even better, and courtesy is courtesy no matter if your fishin or ridin . i am sure they are a few bad apples out there crappie fishin, but i guess you would say they are bass fisherman first!
Outdoors News, Information, Tournaments, Photos, Videos, Blogs - ESPNOutdoors.com - ESPN they have blog updates during the tournament with updated weights throughout the day.
also check out espn 2 schedule they have alot of coverage.
I just seen this week the gentlemen from villa rica that is in the classic, i stay in villa rica and not heard the first thing about it till i read it on ESPN. I hope he does well, i think he weighed in a little over 7lbs today.
I agree, courtesy is courtesy, but I can only go on my experience, especially this past weekend. All the boaters who came by me who slowed down and was plowing the water, causing an unecessary wake, ended up pulling out rods and casting for bass. None of them were crappie fishermen. Either they didn't care about the other boaters in the area or they were too ignorant as to proper boating procedures. I would rather have antoher boat go by me at WOT instead of slowing down to what they think is idle speed, which in reality is just plowing, causing a big wake, almost swamping me.
well i think jim did say it nicly
ask your self this when was the last time a crappie fisherman came into a cove your fishing running 90 mph and dump it blowing you off your seat from the wake to make 3 cast and then blow back out of there
now i will not say all are complete @@sholes but most are just becouse they can catch a bass witch i might add i bet 90% of crappie guys catch more bass not trying then most of them do trying lol i had one ask me im fishing yuor lake next week what they biting on i told him a 1/16 grub in e chicken lol
oh yea the reson he put jetskis above a bass guy we know they are dum as hell we hope bass guys aint
Jim your not having a bad day today are you? For you sound awfully grumpy right now. Oh yea did you get your limit today.
we are pricks, inconsiderate, but only when we are fishing for money! Hate that happened to you! Cause if it was me i would be pissed, but they are some bad apples out there. i had a guy that must had just got his wakeboard boat out from winter this past weekend i must have been in his cove!
didn't mean to start this but since we are on the topic, lets discuss. I live in a lake community on lake lanier where on any given weekend you will see a houseboat, a speedboat, fishingboats of all sizes, sailboats, pontoons and yaghts. The one thing that all of them[ besides most fisherman] have is the lack of knowledge of the wake that they put out. They think that they are motoring down but don't understand that they are plowing 3 foot waves. It would be better to stay on plain than to slow down and plow. That goes for all boats fishing or pleasure. I think most fisherman respect one another but it is the jet skis, pleasure boaters, and none fisherman that make it impossible for me at least to fish lanier on the weekends.
Nope, having a great day. All I ask is that they pay more attention as to how they operate their boat around other fishermen, but I guess that is too much to ask. Just because they are fishing a tournament for money is no excuse to be a jerk. I was also fishing a tournament for money this past weekend, but I slowed down and showed the other fishermen COURTESY and RESPECT when passing them by. I did not let money cloud my judgement and put others at risk just to earn a few bucks.
well sling see thats what i meant about jetskis/skiers nonfisherman i look past 70% of them becouse they just dont know and realy dont care there just out there to bake in the sun i cant be mad at dum poeple dont get me wrong i think they should know but realy yuo wouldnt ask the guy at the corner store to cut into yuor brain
but see a guy who fishes and does it and then acts like he owns the place and dont care well i have a hard time takin it
i have noticed West Point has some of the No Wake buoys inside of some of the coves. this is a first for me outside of marinas, and swim areas. is this the state controlling this or community members within that cove because some have it and some do not. i know in TN we can even blow through bridges which is would get someone killed on this lake, i think its a great thing. of course some of our bridges back home are the huge interstate bridges but still can be dangerous.
The buoys are or were a limited no. I found my first on riding and looking at the graph. I know that I made some people mad but I wasnt paying attention to a buoy. I was looking for fish. Most of West Point is open. I havent been up there for a year, it may have changed.
