belcats, I googled up "light blue calf tail for sale"and came across flyfishusa. com. site I think the color you are looking for might be the floresant blue. That is the only light blue I have found so far and use it lots for gill jigs.. I hope this helps a little Illinoisgiller
I tried to find it and only found one in Canada which I didn't want to get into. The guy that was furnishing kip tails in Lt. Blue got burned. The guy he was buying from disappeared suddenly in South America (possible either kidnapped or dead). He had paid for the 12,000 tails and never got them.
I finally just gave up and used some different hair so it may be possible things are different now, but it has not been that long ago. Every place I found it was buying from the same guy that didn't get his kip tails so they were all out.
Good luck,

try Barlow's for kiptails.Look at stock number 710505,color #507. If you want something lighter color I can probably dye one up for you.
Barlow's 507 was darker than I was looking for I believe. Actually I have ordered FL Blue before and that picture looks lighter than what I got.

If it looks like the picture at barlow's I think it will work. Thanks, I thought I had looked there before, but must not have.
They show a light blue!
I have purchased from them before and never had any problem.Very fast service.
DYED KIPTAILS
Never got kip tail from them but Chuck and Deb's does have some decent prices.

flour. blue is the lightest Iv'e seen. think I got it from chuckanddebs or barlows can't remember. the shade you end up with can be a toss up alot of times. heck I have some blue that is almost black, didn't expect that.
I see this is an old post, but I need light blue kip tail. Just wondering if anybody has found some?
