ok now it covered my words what now:eek:
LOL, Just make sure where you cursor is before you paste. If is not where you want it then just click where you do want it and if it's at the end of the words just hit your enter key first and it will drop it down to the next line. Hit it 2 times and you have a space between the words and the pic.
Picture looks better for sure!

Pictures are looking much better and those ducks are looking good too.I see you are working with the pintail feathers.
yes sir time to put them to work
I like em. They look really busy and I think the crappie will be busy fighting over them.
Nice looking jigs
Fatman
I like you jigs using the duck for sure and plan on doing some my self.
Good Job!
I have a load of duck feathers under my desk in 2- 5 gallon buckets, but then I just bought a bunch of Mallard, Wood Duck & Gadwall feathers for just what you are doing with these. I just have not had time to use them yet, but this week I think I will get time. I am going to add more to them since I really like the look they have as the collar or tail or both. Love that Wood Duck Gold too I think.
I think my favorite duck feathers are the barred wood duck feathers, but too hard to come by and cost is a bit high on them for selling a bunch.

i figured i would start using them.ive got several ziploc bags with mallard, pintail, ringneck, and some teal when i pick it up at my friends house. i like the pintail the best the bars on the feathers are alot darker than the others
Have you seen the barred Wood Duck feathers?

I know most all the duck feathers since I was a big duck hunter way back when. The Pintial do have great feathers.
I have the mallard in Green, Pink, FL Fuchsia and Wood Duck Gold, Natural. Should have got more colors, LOL!

yes i have seen the woodduck and they are very nice.probably could have gotten some but wasnt at the right place at the right time.i duck hunt a few times a year and get some.but my boss and 2 co workers are diehard and i get some from them. when i say diehard im talking my friend at work hunts everyday of the season from opening day after thanksgiving until the last day which is jan.25 so i come across a few duck feathers:D
skip cabela's here had a big bag of barred wood duck feathers for $5....(when i say big i mean big....bigger then a gal. size baggie)
There's always so much that we want to do but there never seems to be enough time to do it all.Have some fun, that's what tying is all about. I believe the feathers that crappiekillerjigs was referring to are actually mallard flank feathers, still a good deal.I plan on picking some up next week when cabela's has their sale,30% off tying materials.I have some wood duck flank feathers and they are awesome.Only use them for special occasions.
Yes the flank feathers are a lot less and come in some pretty large bags. While not gallon size I can get the flank feathers for a few bucks for big bag and small bags for about a buck and they come in a lot more colors in the small bags than the big bags.
Yes looked at Cabela's and they are flank and I am sure the same size bag I get since it says it's an OZ. plus cabela's only has them in natural color. The Wood Duck barred you get 2 pair and a dozen flank for $5. Even where I buy them they are not cheap.
