scoremaster then me
Patience grasshopper!
Here is the thread http://www.crappie.com/crappie/jig-t...up-thread.html
I'm wanting to make some of my "pink ice" jigs...lol.
Do you know what rules scoremaster will be doing?? Are we doing anything in particular?? Just wondering if anything goes...or are we tying anything specific....Sorry....patience is all gone right now....I wanna tie...lol.
It is up to the swapmiester....:D
I've started working on two possible swap jigs already.Depends on what the rules are...There were jigs from 15 states in swap 5.That's cooolllll. May have to add a few more slots.
Personally, I like having 20-25 swappers. Not sure If I'd want to extend it. I'm afraid adding too many more would lengthen the time frame of each swap.
Scoremaster mentioned that he was thinking about restrictions, themes, etc. earlier. It's up to him. Although after he starts couldn't another swapmeister start up another swap and them run simultaneously?
I'm up for whatever!! Just want to get in another one! My jig stock is growing!!
Scrapper,if you get too many you can send some to missouri.I have a few empty boxes here that could use filling. My jigs only catch little crappie.. lol
25 was plenty. I think it is better to keep the number at 20 and do multiple ones if that is ever an option. Maybe have 2 swap masters with 2 different themes and have members sign up for the theme they want to do. Just a thought.
Is it to late to sign up
There hasn't been a sign-up yet.
well fellas does that mean that you guys are all ready for the next one before we even get our jigs back from the last one ?
Scott
I'm ready, with the weather we've been having what else have I got to do. I think the sign up will fill up fast.
Yea, I'm ready. The weather is cold and I'm in the tying mood. Bring on the next swap!!
Add Me to the list can't miss # 6 it's a even # !
LOL. Ya'll are a riot. This whole jig swap idea has REALLY taken off. I'm wondering how popular this thing will actually become. I wonder if the original participants from the first swap envisioned this thing growing to this level. Hey anybody know who the first participants were from the first swap? I'll start a thread asking this question.:)
I'd recommend keeping it at one swap at a time.... maybe shorten the tie-time to delivery-time window just a bit... if you get too many swaps going at one time folks could get burnt out real quick plus ya run the chance of mixing up your submissions between the swaps.
There was a time I was involved in 5 swaps and it wore me out trying to keep up with who was who and what was what and which jigs went where....
Just my opinion to the question asked earlier about running swaps simultaneously....
You've got a good point AWMiller. Might be best to to keep 'em one at a time. Or maybe two swaps running, but you could only be in one at a time? That way more people could get involved? We could run two 15 person swaps in a shorter amount of time than one 25 person swap. I'm just tossing out ideas. You guys have got more experience at this than me. So I'll defer to my elders. :)
My gosh Fowl had to beat people into the 1st swap hum! guess everyone figured they had the best thing going ? Myself I just enjoy getting thing's that people took the time and care to make by hand for a certian purpose. If everyone would settle for what They have now or what our Grand Parents had we'd still be slining a cane pole out of a 1"x4"
flat boat with oars!
