AtticaFish had the great idea to re-start this thread and all I want to do is ass in the statement that this thread should not be used to sell jigs. So that is it and not please laserdoc please re-post your pic.

I like that. Have you thought about a silver head? Not saying anything is wrong, but I use a lot of silver heads with colors like that.Quote:

Okay here is my Feb jig and it's one I am very fond of as it catches lot of fish and seems to get bigger fish for some reason. Have had others tell me the same thing or I wouldn't have added that last part.
Only thing I added to this one over what I have in the past is 3 strands of Fuchsia Holographic Flash. I also love this chenille as it has flash in it that is hard to capture on photos. Oh and this body color is FL Yellow or the Yellow Chartreuse.

I'm going to try these with the silver head,skip. In fact I like silver so much I'm sending out some sickle hooks to be plated.when I get them back I'll take a picture of a plated head compared to a painted and plain head and see what cc members like between them.
I just use Pro Tec Silver and it is fine. I use it on a good may jigs, like especially Silver/blue/white and I have one customer that is all he buys every year, LOL! Don't know if I would go as far as sending them out for plating, but if it is as cheap I guess it may even be a better head. I do have to cure it separate from most others since it cures a 375 and not 392 like most. However if I have white at 360 or 20 minutes then I include the Silver with them.Quote:

Here's my contribution for the month. 1/16 minnow head. I've got 2 others I made and will place the other picts in my photo gallery. The flash is midge flash, no luck in being a weed guard, but was going for a fin look.
By the way I think this little contest is an excellent idea. Kind of makes you try color combinations or variations you would not normally attempt. Jig is a plated silver 1/32 oz , diamond braid royal blue chennile , blue kip hair and chartreuse marabou. Few strands of chartreuse Krinkle flash on each side.
Here's mine. All the same color scheme. Top jig is 1/8th with #4 sickle hook. Middle is 1/16th with Mustad #37188 hook. It is a wide gapped, thin wire hook with good hook setting ability, but they tend to break with a lot of use. Bottom jig is 1/16th with #4 sickle hook.
This is not an original design, as I saw similar jigs a year or two ago on JUNGLEJIMJIGS site. It involves a center section of 2 hackle feathers, surrounded by a skirt or maribou.
