i would trim the tail down quite a bit but that is about it....nice work by the way
Overall nice profile for the fish to gobble up. Ice man has too long a tail but a nice color scheme. IMHO I'd lose about half the tail on that one. Just my opinion.
Ship's right Josh. Too long a tail will cause missed fish. You are tying some very nice jigs for just getting into it. Have you had a chance to fish your wares yet?
how about some nice gill jigs.
Those are nice heads, perhaps you should start a thread showing them?

Are those airbrushed or hand painted. Great looking jigs. What style mold did the ones on the right come from ?
Some people advise to make your tail extend past the hook the same length as the jig hook (not counting the head). Some like their tails a little shorter and some a little longer. I'm pretty sure that's the rule I've heard passed around. If not I'm sure someone will correct me. :D Also, they might be able to explain it better than I did.Quote:
