So tell me what you think. I am making these for small mouth fishing and still have more to do and kind of waiting on more colors to come in.

sweet!!! you running marabou over those zonkers?
oh sweet day!!!! that's awesome man! fooled my eyes for sure!... i love that look! I love to use those zonkers as "underbody" on my bass/saltwater jigs (literally looks like it's breathing!!).... great work on these Bunnies!! I do love that look! Just wish folks would work with zonkers more often!!!
I really like 'em, especially the bottom two in the far right column. I've had my best luck smallmouth fishing with "red-tailed" minnows. We would catch them in minnow traps and use them. Silver/white/grey/black with a red tail. If I wasn't using live bait, an inline spinner with a silver/black body with a red skirt worked really well. Granted I was fishing a clear river in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.
Looks great Skip!!
Hey Skip, you should try just using the regular zonkers. Then you wont have to retie another zonker strip in. when doing it this way you need to brush the hair back as you wrap towards the jig head.

Nice ties as usual and they're all good colors for bass but I gotta tell you I like the color setup on the on in the top left corner perfect crayfish color match.

Lookin' Good!! Fav is the right row in the middle, with the black tail section, will defintely catch em. Like your sig. jig below that and the silver/blue one above.
Maybe throw the drk green fur on a black jig head. Favorite lure on my hometown river is an all black Fuzz E Grub with some silver sparkle in the hair, 3" or so. On my jigs, I actually run drk colored chenile above the tail... I think the bulk thins out some of the smaller fish. That may not be what the customer wants though???
I will be placing an order over your website soon... can you make the grass shrimp on your site 3" in size? I know that's big, but I fly fish as well, and that would kill em'!!!
Man those look good, Question do many people use the rabbit for crappie jigs, and do the have any luck. Thanks Jug
Thank you!
I tried some about 2 months ago that had a silver head and I didn't have the crosscut strips yet so had a chenille body and a zonker strip that was two tone white with blue tips and caught some really nice crappie and that was the only jig that caught any fish that day.
The ones here are a little bigger, but not hard to make them the same colors just smaller jig head and shorter strip for the tail.

Thanks!
As for making the grass shrimp 3" long, I am not sure I guess we would need to discuss this a bit more in email or on the phone so I understand how you want them. Just thinking if fly fishing you would need a very small jig head and then how to get it 3" long would need some talk, but maybe so??

I know about the use of just the zonker like that, but I really like the crosscut top portion better I think. I would be more inclined to do what you are speaking about if I was tying some woolly buggers I think. I have thought about doing that on these, but just think this looks better for what I am trying to do.
I also like just using the crosscut strips by them selves without the zonker.
