paint to the color that you want you can always grab an empty jar and mix 2 parts flo yellow and 1/2 part blue. Shake well and tint or adjust as needed until you get the shade you want. When you apply to hot jig and then bake in a toaster oven you will get fantastic results.
I started doing this because lime chartreuse was hard to always find in the tones I needed.

Great tip Mike. Here's a couple more:
You can lighten mixes by adding white or darken them by adding black.
You might try adding CSI clear to problem paint to help fluff it up.
WRITE down your mixes - somewhere - Keep notes.
Fluid beds make a good mixers also.
If you are getting lumps - dump the paint on a pane of glass and use the back of a spoon to crush the clots and mix the paint.

Hey LedHed don't know if you remember this one or not, over on tackle underground a guy bought a load of powder paint and left it in his car!!!! He came on the site asking if he was out some bucks.
It was suggested he get a fine mesh and grind it back to powder which he did and he said it worked ok but never saw any of the results.

Oh man... i had bought some powder paint from Bass Pro Shops (watermelon flake) once....
Got home and opened it up and it should have been named Funky Chunky!!!! Talk about boulders of paint 'rocks'!! I tried everything.... crushing it, smashing it, cursing it ... but each time I'd put it back into the bottle it would just clump right up again!! Finally had it sent back to BPS and got it replaced.
Now I'm sure to open up the bottle to make sure it's nice and fine!
But by all means... keep it away from moisture!!! Happy powdering!

Think I saw that – I would toss it - not much you can do with heat lumps.
The clumps I was referring to are from sitting too long or refusing to mix with other paint. It’s a little more pronounced (think cadman would agree) is when you are mixing different manufacture’s PP.

Luckily the humidity out here ain’t a big deal – but it sure does get hot. Hope you didn’t have to pay postage to get the pp replaced. PP is way over priced.
Definitely moisture is powder's worst enemy, although you can crush it if it's not hard like a rock. Second big no-no is if you get moisture in your paint do not try to put it in a hot area to dry it. What happens is if the powder gets too hot it starts the curing process, and then it is junk. Your best bet is to put it in a dry place, to get the moisture out. BTW I have about 600 lbs of powder in my basemnt, and its as good as the day I bought it. Keep, cool, dry and out of sunlight.Quote:
