It's not so much being a "good samaritian" but...

...just treating folks like they're human beings in need. "Compassion" is a big word and without the Lord's compassion for each of us, none of us would be where we are today. We wouldn't even be able to draw our next breath or hear our next heartbeat. Compassion...we need to reflect His compassion in all that we do.
Preserving Mr. Weston's boat for his family is the least a man could do, in view of the circumstances. <><

I was the only witness ands called 911. Then I ended up helping the guys put him in the bodybag and carry him out. Someone's 21 year old son, ejected and killed, no seatbelt in use.
I believe that we are placed in certain circumstances for good reason. My prayer each day is to be used in His special way.

Praise the Lord and pass the minnows.

Daniel!
What else could a guy do? In about 18 years, I'll look a lot like how he looked when he was alive on his last day. I reckon I can identify with him, savvy? Kindred fishermen with the same home lake and all...
It's just so sad that his family will never hear his stories again...because he was lax on his safety. It's just too bad because his babies and grandbabies lose by not having the benefit of his presence in their lives...to teach them about the thang we call "fishin'."
