I think that's just a part of old age Smitty.
ran over one the other week.:(
Ran over the back of my wife's car one time with one of my old jacked 4x4's on 44s. That sucked.......
A few years back I got a new tackle bag, put all my stuff in it, layed it next to the boat trailer intending to put it in the boat, then promptly ran over it as I left for my fishing trip that morning. O well'.
Speaking of batteries the price has jumped way up on them also.
I was packing for a trip once and had stuff in two different places. Somehow I had placed my tackle box on my back bumper and didn't notice it until I was at my next stop. On the way back home I found what was left of the box and the three hundred dollars worth of tackle it contained about 200 yards from my house. It have been ran over several times and the tackle was nowhere to be found.
Since I was pulling out at 3:00am the next mrorning all I could do was borrow tackle from my brother-in-law. Caught fish though!
I think we have all ran over something before at one time or another just will teach you to check twice before you go for me it was two brand new rods never got to use them

did the telephone thing a while back also:(.
Sometimes your lucky. My son when he was a senior in HS took his senior ring off to play basketball with some friends at home, laid it on the fender of his car, then drove to town 15 miles away, drove back home and later that evening he missed his ring and remembered what he had done with it. He went outside with the idea of looking in the yard where it might have fallen. It was still on the front fender right where he laid it. Go figure.
Papa dawg, your son is a good driver. If that had been mine i wouldnt even looked for it. No reason to, wast of time.
I layed the cordless house phone on my tool box of my truck and took it for a ride . Never got any call on it again. That was a hard one to explain to the wife.I think the word she used was DUMMIE.
