Wife Helping with Spots
I just wanted to say how lucky I am to have a wife that will go out and spend the day lugging buckets of trees and concrete. I hope everyone has a helper like I do. I also wanted to say hi to Dave that I had the pleasure meeting at the ramp today. He said we looked like we were taking a herd of reindeer across the lake.
Got 'em wet so now I need the fish to come visit and stay awhile.

She is a keeper any way you look at it.....
The question is can she out fish you? ? ? ? ? ? ?

CrappieTexan,
I have to get up real early in the morning to out fish this girl. I hope she can catch crappie off the stands she helped with so she'll be willing to help again. At least that's the plan.
Water is cooling here so in a week or two we'll give em a try.

Nothin' better than a fishing partner thats also your wife. That way you don't have to make up excuses to go fishing. Just make sure she keeps catching and all will be fine. By the way, welcome to the site from South Louisiana, where hurricanes roar.

PawPaw, I hope those nasty winds don't blow your crappie away or the boat for that matter. I always make sure the wife is on the spot so she won't fire the guide if you know what I mean.
Thanks for the welcome and it's good to connect with other crappie fisherman.

Thats a good picture, keeping the wife happy and she's helping you too.
Welcome to the board from S.C.:)

Not sure who is the luckiest B******d,,,, You,,, or Sarah Palin's Husband.... You're in the running though..

Some guys try to hide from the wife by going fishing> I take my wife fishing to keep me out of TROUBLE. Thanks for the support Quicksilver1958. It's a real pleasure to be put in the same category as Sarah's hubby. My wife won't shot a critter of any kind though, she just brings them home alive.
The real reason she helps with the mats is to out fish me and then brag to all our friends about it.
Catch em up!

Thanks Jiggs,
I'm a new member here and I must also say welcome to you. I have gotten so many new ideas from this site and thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge.
I hope to try some of these spots next week if that nasty hurricane doesn't flood us out even though we need rain.

She doesn't look anything like my partner Frank
-
bttmline,
For that I am thankful, not that Frank isn't a nice guy. Going back today with another load of pvc buckets and with the cool down here I think the fall fishing will start full speed soon.

After a lot of work 9/16/08 I did get to fish five of the spots that my wife helped with last week and got fish on everyone. Granted they were freshman class but it was cool to catch fish in only a week. Water temp was five degrees less than last week. With the cooler nights I think in another week the big fish will be moving in.
Time to go fishing if you can get fuel to get there.

All that and she's cute as a button to boot. Were you born this lucky or did you do soemthing to get that way? :)

Wannabe,
I think she just liked my boat and that I had an extra Wally Marshall IM8 jig rod. Or it could be that God felt sorry for me so he gave me a smart mate that happens to be easy on the eyes.
-
Well, word to the wise. Don't bring her to any of the Crappie.com get togethers. I'm just saying is all. :)
Sure wish I could get my wife to take up fishing with me.

Wannabe,
Most of the time men fish to get away from the wife and enjoy the quiet or honey do list. Most wives don't fish with their husband because they are mad about the honey do list not being finished.
In my case, I threw away the list and I explained to her that the earth is 75% water and that meant that God intended us to fish 75% of the time. I think she bought it! Or NOT!

Fishordie,
Got a few questions:
1) What's your shipping address?
2) When is your next re-education camp?
3) Do you accept payment plans?
She's a keeper that's for sure.

Wannabe,
That's funny. I think we would have to perform a hard drive reboot and maybe some shock therapy. After those services I think the wife would be willing to work two jobs just so you could go fishing on all the days without a complaint.
I'm heading back today to build some stake beds while the water is really and my wife asked me if she could help but I didn't to save my favors for the trees sometime in October.
Let's go fishing!

My wife is my best fishin' buddy by far...I have to stay on my toes just so she doesn't out-fish me!:)
