picture..How to be mobile on a fishing bank

You know, I got tired of lugging all the equipment around when bank fishing. Us old men get to huffing and puffing when you have to make long walks back to the truck to get something....or just to move from one bank fishing spot to another.............. :D:D:D:D

I'd rather save my energy and fight the fish. Anyway, this is how I roll when I bank fish. With the high cost of gas,:mad::mad: I suspect more and more people will bank fish especially for Bluegill, SHELLCRACKERS, or Crappies. Enjoy the pictures.;););)

Found an old golf cart at the flea market yesterday (September 3rd) for $3.00

Took the wheels off it and mounted them on my fish caddy. Works a lot better.

That is pretty clever. I wonder what some of the other bank fishers are using?

I'm an old man who gets winded carrying all that stuff...usually in two trips. I would like to see pictures also of what others use. If anyone uses my idea and goes into business, then I would expect a 20% check from your profits (Gentleman's agreement) for the notion that spured you on to financial success.

I have a kids PF flyer wagon that i use, Put a milk crate on the back,and made 6 rod holders out of pvc on the side. works good

I use a bucket and backpack to carry my stuff.Sherry uses a folding chair in a bag and my tackle/ bait.She offers to carry stuff also.

Man am I dumb. I just carry the stuff. I'm only 42 though. The kids help too.

That's a great idea. If I had thought of it 15 yrs ago, I wouldn't have a boat! I kept getting more stuff. Harder to change spots so I got a boat. Now I huff and puff to move the boat around the back yard. Maybe I should look into a caddy like yours... or a lakehouse! :)
Saw a post where a kid had made a fishing trailer for his bike. Basically a cooler on wheels.

When i shore fish, i take 2 rods, a bucket to sit on with a small minnow bucket inside, and bobbers (4), hooks and splitshots, and a cup of waxworms, all in my vest pockets. I stay mobile and light. No way would i attempt to drag that setup on the shorelines that i fish. No concrete shorelines where i catch my fish. Mostly soft dirt and mud. I have to climb across fallen trees and climb up and down steep shores. I dont carry anything i know i wont use. Always have a heavier bucket to carry out tho.:D

Where's your pistol for snakes?:D:D:D Be careful out there. I also take a fishing vest too.

No need to worry about poisonous snakes in my area of the country. And snakes dont bother me and i dont bother them. If they get in my space, i'll take a branch or stick and just flip it away. Even used my ugly stick one time.:D

Nice set up Ship. We have a canal with a bike path alongside .This is how I get there. The trailer is fitted with little 12v battery, cleaning board, and electric fillet knife. Igloo cooler brings home the fillets. Mike

Went shore fishing today. Took one rod and a double sided plano in a pocket of my shorts. That's it. No cooler since nothing was keeper sized. Even then I'd never carry one b/c I usually just CPR. Good idea on the cart. I just like to move more and less gear allows me that freedom.

thats way better than wasting a fine fishing caddy one golfing great idea ship love the idea on the bigger more sturdy wheels did you also replace the shaft with the one from the golf caddy to accommodate more weight if not it may be possible and ill take 5% for that added idea no need to get greedy on such a fine idea J/K lol

I used a wagon wheel shaft. Thanks. I also made a few from shotgun cases I found at a thrift store for when it is mountainous and rocky.:D:D:D

This would have worked well on our last trip. Look at distance to the lake. We are so use to making gadgets for the boat we forget about shore fishing. The deacon almost didn't make it but he manged. What you dont see is the Tackle Boxes/Bait, Cooler, Chairs, etc... You get the jist.

Best believe we will have something by next spring....

Might have to start fishing from the bank. Maybe just buy yours for flea market price.

Not a spring chicken and fell into the lake this summer.
Not very fun if one was to by themself.

Made me think twice.
Then the other side of the coin would have snakes to worry about, cant win.
Could get a gun permit, then again peta people would come after me.

hey nice setup, i got the same tackle box in blue! have fun

I carry one rod only, and use a nail apron for lures, pliars and stringer. Sprayed the apron camo colors. Works well.

Great idea! I've never liked the fanny packs, and trout vests are too hot for the summer. I'll definitely try it out.

Man You need to set up mass production on that piece of equipment .. But when we get older do we want to go thru the hassele ???

Make sure you get a folding chair with an umbrella (for sun and rain) ... No need to rough it :) ... I can remember times I would love to have every thing at my finger tips when bank fishing and that would do it ..

DB4D.....I don't like fanny packs either. I want multiple rods with different jig rigs and test line on them so I can catch whatever is biting that day. I'm not into tournaments anymore...., just into "Chillin" and fishin4crappies.:D:
