I molded up some jigs and decided to paint a few for a change.I'm using powder paint and want to put some eyes on them.I have to get some other paint(maybe tomorrow). My question is.How would a black sharpie marker do to make a small dot eye? Thanks.

I have been tying my own flies for many years, now I just got started tying jigs but I would use paint just my 2 cents worth
I have been tying for years and found the best, easiest and most predictable method of painting eyes is to take a small finish nail and tac it into a small piece of wood dowel rod. Dip the nail head into the paint and place the nail head onto a jig head. Make several sizes and paint over the eyes from larger to smaller. Makes a realistic eye and round. A sharpie produces oblong eyes often.
I am old fashioned. A few different sizes of drill bit ends and some paint will make great eyes.
Thanks guys, what is the best paint that you have found for making eyes?
Just about the only paint I use is vinyl jig paint. Even for the eyes.
I powder paint all my own jigs and earlier this year I picked up some 3-D self adhesive eyes at Bass Pro. They work great, easy to put on and look great.

I checked wallyworld the other day. They don't even sell model kits any more.I have to go to KMart soon I'll check there.
How do the self adhesive ones hold up do they stay on ?

I use two part epoxy to cover them but others I know use Sally Hansen's Hard as nails, although I've never tried it myself.
