skunked
Really....That sucks.
yea but i'm pretty used to it, i figure at least the weather was nice and we saw hundreds maybe thousands of salmon smolts i think jumping out of the water while we were trolling the bridge
I hate lake washington. Lake washington is a bigger Jerk than Bassman and that is saying someting.
hey, if i had as good of spots to fish as bassman i would protect them with my life
I drove all the way to Spokane and back on Saturday to buy a used bass boat. Took it out to Washington and Union today and there was a bass tourny on both lakes  . I managed to scrape up three smallies smallest around 1/2lb and the largest about 3.5lb. Dragging Senko's 25ft flats. Not bad but not good lol.
how do you go about catching fish so consistently?
was the tournament the big bass blast, or is that one still to come
I caught lings up at Anacortes.
Big bass blast is over they didnt do it this year and wont do that tournament ever again. I fished a private lake today and caught 5 largemouth and 3 smallmouth. With the biggest at 3 lbs off a bed.I lost a 4 lb smallmouth and a 3+ smallmouth.I caught the smallmouth on hulagrubs, and the largemouth on lizards and hulagrubs. Almost all were caught SIGHT FISHING.One of my friends caught 2 smallies at 1.5 lbs too.
Urbanfisher, to catch fish consistently you got to find a pattern.
Geezz Urban, I told you!
Yeah geeeez Urban he told you.

Knowing your targets seasonal movements is the key...even more so than lures or technique. You can have all the gear and casting skills in the world but if you're fishing the wrong structure during the wrong time of year.....skunked  . I also have topo maps of every lake that I fish and I keep them in a binder in my tackle bag. So this weekend I fished many lake points, humps, and shallow flats without a hit. The first fish I caught was on the edge of a deep flat with grass starting to grow on it. I pulled out the map, found where I was fishing at, then looked for more areas like it. I nailed a bass or got hits at ever one of those other areas.Quote:

yeah urban and I found guite a few schools of crappie but could not get them to hit either and there were some big schools.
Yep, nothing pisses you off more than knowing the fish are there but they're not eating :D. The perch would crush any lure you sent down to them but the crappies were tight lipped. Oh well, I'll be heading out again Sunday morning to give it another shot. If the weather would just stay stable for a solid week we'd be in good shape.
Yeah you find the fish then you have to sit there and pattern them for reaction strikes if they arent hungry.
Yeah we motored around the lake looking for schools but found nothing till we came out of the cut on the lake washington side and they were stacked up big time close to a drop off. we casted to them drifted over them, nothing.
i'm working on getting my boat ready and getting a truck to move it so that i can start fishing every week, i think it will just take time on the water to get good at it
yeah a little car topper liket hat can get you into a lot of cool spots...like bassmans hole... just stalk him you should find it.
Mmmhuh stalking....sounds like a bad idea to me. Seroisly if you go twards snohomish you will find that lake eventually.
i am just giving you a hard time, even though I am failing at it.
I think I found it...maybe?
you did on a map or in real life
Masta fisha you know nothing, dont worry bassman, I will take care of it, If you know what I mean.
Lets here your geuss.Dont worry kokanee If he has it he deserves it after the research he must have done..
i may have found it on the map...well see
I'll be heading out every weekend. Give me a holler if you want to catch a ride out.Quote:

thats what i heard too, oh well, and before it dried up i heard they posined it.
I think some yahoo blew up the beaver dam at the bottom end of the lake.
will do slabking, maybe if i fished with you a bit i could actually start catchin some fish
I doubt it.
Yup pretty much what a shame. I went to a private lake today in duvall and caught 6 or 7 smallmouth up to 3lbs on a drop shot with sniper snubs, My cousin landed 3 with a crankbait.
Urban you can go with slabking i am going with bassman.
