I am skipping fishing this weekend, heading to TX for Homebrew competition:D Maybe next week I'll head to Peckerwood or COnway, depending on reports (if there are any this next week)
I'll be headed to Peckerwood. I will try to post results. Good luck to all!
I have kid stuff going on this weekend so I have to stick close to the house.... luckily I can fish there! :D
i will probably stick around close to the house although i would like to make it down to chicot or morgan point. stumpjumper, have you been to morgan point lately? how high does the river have to get to be in there?
Hawg......I seriously doubt Morgan Point would be very good with the Arkansas being as high as it is. Also, with the Mississippi on the rise, the White and Arkansas don't really have anywhere to go and just back up down there. It might be worth a try, but I am sure MP is high and muddy.
The river is in it with 13.5 ft over the rock dam. Went to the ramp yesterday and it was up to the handicap loading slab near the top of the ramp. When the tail water level below the Wilbur B Mills dam is at 140.5 ft, that's when it gets into M. Point, and it is at 154 ft. this morning. A link to check the level.

The bass were hot in shallow water yesterday evening. I saw a few boats out, but I was fishing from the shore at Two Rivers Park in LR. Didn't catch a single crappie, tho. :/ Maybe they'll move in next?
Woohdog--Which one is Two Rivers Park? I went down to the ramp at Burns Park yesterday looking around. It's a mess for sure.
i keep up with the ms river levels and know when paradise and lee and those lakes are right but i was unsure exactly how high the rock dike was and what it looked like down at mp. thanks for the info. it looks like it is going to be a bad year for fishing a lot of places this year because of all the water unless it starts dropping out soon. it should make for a good spawn though.
HawgPharm, one thing about M. Point is the water backs in from the lower Arkansas. So it doesn't muddy the lake since there is no flow through it. It stayed in there last summer until August because of the flow on the Ark. river being up with all the rains in Oklahoma last year. It should be really good after the water goes down this spring.
That was the one I was thinking of. I didn't know it was even there until a few months ago.
Hello from Yankeeville... We still have plenty of water to give y'all. Corp. of Eng. have been holding water back for about two weeks know in our two biggest reservoirs. It is not as bad here so to speak than it is south of us around Cape. Other 1 1/2 more today, with the ground already full, we sure didn't need that. If this rain keeps up, they will have to turn loose soon. F.F.
