Lake Barnett

Anybody ever crappied fished it? It is close to home for me and feedback would be apprecaited.

Im curious as well. I did tear the cats up there last summer. I also dropped 2 bamboo beds in 15 ft and 20 ft of water. I plan getting up there within the next couple of weeks.

I went out on a blind date with a girl from Rose Bud one time. I went fishing the next day on Barnette. When I got back to the boat landing, she was there waiting on me. I have been afraid to go fishing there ever since...

That was my one and only trip. I didn't catch any. I have heard it is not too hard to find them during the spring spawn.

Only thing I've heard is it has some great Bass fishing after a good rain in the early spring.:cool:

The biggest lesson I learned when I was single, is to beware of a woman that claims she loves to fish, hunt, and golf. I know there are plenty of ladies on this sight that actually love to do just that!! When my wife runs me off, I will do my trolling here.

I tried to fish it one day last fall. Beautiful lake and the water looked great. Only problem, depending on where you load your boat, it was like a mine field out there. I didn't know where the main channel was and it was a nightmare. I finally picked my motor up and used my trolling motor to get back to the truck!!! Alot of trees right under the surface, but, like I said, I didn't know what I was doing!

I tried it last winter and had the same thing happen to me. It is a nice lake with plenty of structure but is sure hard to fish.

Mine Field

There is a boat trail that zig zags through there. Now that I've learned it I can get the boat planed out. But thats as far as I'll push it.
