Anyone own a 1197? If so, I heard by the grapevine that the unit has a NTSC or PAL output. Is this true? If so, I gonna spend this tax refund rite quick. I can't stand prosperity.
There is no 1197 manual available on Humminbird web yet.

I guess right in the middle of the back its got a connector thats for that. Last I heard you'll have to have a cable with their connector on one end and an RCA on the other. Didn't sound like the cable was out yet.

The video output for the 1197 is for real. It does have video output. When purchasing the 1197 it does not come with this cable. It is a seprate accessory. The part number for it is VC 1. The retail price is $19.95.
Based on the picture displayed above it will be to the left of the metal connector and to the bottom.
The cable will have a connecto that plugsinto the unit and two phono connectors that will plug into a display.

I am assuming this is composite video out from the 1197 and I can connect any line in video recording device?
This will be a composite video. This should not be a problem, as long as you have a device that will record composite video.
Looks like I am gonna have to get one of these units to play with. I oughta get a free cable for guessing the answer. You folks at Humminbird get a lot of air time from me anyhow ( Pros and Cons).:)Quote:
