Thanks for the reports Dano. Between your and CEB's reports we should know when they start biting on Conway.
-
Sorry for such a late report, but it's been pretty busy for the past week. Sunday before last, I found a few in 8'-9' of water at Conway up in the pond. Sittin' just off the bottom along the northern bank. Caught on some of Dan's best Rosy Reds. Action wasn't fast, but I'd guess that the best fishin' was that afternoon. Had a few good'uns in there with 3 of 'em right at the 2lb mark. Y'all better get out there and get some slabs.

-
gold creek is 4-5 miles north from the mayflower exit on hwy 365,short gravel rd down the end on the right.between the freeway and hwy 365.still pretty slow here.last 2 days not but a few boats.1 had 3 fish another had 12 keepers.today 1 man had 12 with 2 at 2lbs
-
Dan, was the guy who caught the 12 fish today the mysterious "carhart man" mentioned earlier in this thread? I saw a guy out there today wearing carharts and he had an orange hat on...He looked pretty cold...:)...Appeared to be casting a jig under a slip cork...I've seen one other guy at there who wears carharts as well, but he wasn't there today (at least when I was)...Wasn't sure who I needed to be watching.... ;)
-
His boat is a silver boat (don't know the brand), and has a steering wheel in the middle on the right side. He is very tall, and looks like he just fits into that drivers seat.
-
CEB (Columbo) tracked him one day. He may even know what size pant he wears. He may can give more info.
-
yeah i forgot to mention the carhart bib man was here sunday late afternoon, yes he is one that caught 12 keepers, watched a little as CEB said he's working 2 jig poles 1 in each hand.jigs 7-8 ft deep, picking them up slinging them out front letting them fall slow.works on the slowest days.yesterday carhart slip bobber man had 12 with the 2 at 2 lbs.bibman was fishing brushpile in the center of bottleneck just before you get in the pool
