Very nice mess of crappie. I am enjoying my time home with the wife and boys. I'm also looking forward to returning to Hot Springs on Thursday and getting back on the water by Friday. It's time to get serious and land some of those monster winter slabs.
Great Catch :)
Congrats on the catch, some nice fish there.
Nice bunch of crappie.
great looking catch. need to get finished with my new, old boat and give it a try. hay T J have you been to jack nolen lately?
good looking fish, last time i was on conway i ended up om a stump
The wife slipped up and told someone that she hopes I will get out of the way more often when I was in earshot. I aim to make her happy with me this weekend. I guess I will have to go fishing now; I don't know what else to do. I will either be in Whilamena Cove or the Little Maumell hopefully Saturday and/or Monday.
I saw on the "Occupation" thread on the main board we have lots of new members in Arkansas. Give me a shout if you see me. I will be in a Tracker stick steer that has Crappie.Com stickers on it.

I went back to gold creek on monday and had only 3 keepers.
Not sure what to think?

I think you are the one who had to tell me to hoist my aft anchor???Quote:

I had jigs on the bottom with minnows tied about a foot above. I caught two in about 3 minuets from the same jig. I was enthused but, on my second pass through, the wind started blowing and I never got another bite. There was no way I was going to hold my nose in the wind. So, I anchored again. It didn't take me long to realize I was dragging both of my anchors across the pond. That was enough.
