Thanks for posting and congrats to father and son.
Nice deer congrats to y'all.
Nice deer guys. Since I am in "bowhunting" only mode, my picture might take a little while.. :(
Nimrod I for one dont mind you posting those deer pics just wish I had one to add. In fact opening weekend I hunted all weekend only to find out Sunday I never loaded my gun. Good thing I found out at the house instead of in the woods.
Gooch, I have a bigger one to add today. It was a big bodied buck @180 lbs. Tried to weight it on my 160 limit cotton scales and it bottomed out. It weighed 140 field dressed and divide that by .78 and you get 180. live weight:DQuote:

Nice buck Nimrod, thanks for posting.
Nimrod, thats a good lookin buck. I dont think I have ever killed one that had such a black face. In fact looking at the ones mounted around the house they dont have any black in the face.
Was the buck chasing the girls or just out for a bite to eat?
That buck was trying to slip out as dogs were running on both sides of the area. I perfer to still hunt but it's hard to do around here. Those old bucks tend to slip away when the dogs get after the does and young bucks.
The coloration must be an inherited trait ,I've noticed different areas tend to have color dfferences in animals.
Hope your season is going well. Please post a picture if you get a good one Gooch.:D
Congrats on the buck. and I agree, I don't know if I ever seen one with a black face.
Good lookin' deer pics...What are y'alls favorite dishes? I expect Goocher to provide some dinner here pretty soon...
way to go!!!....great job!......kp
Thanks, Don't know about everyone else ,but we grind a lot of burger and sausage meat. Can't beat fried backstraps , mashed taters, bisquits, and milk gravy. My son loves venison jerky.:cool:Quote:

You tell Micah that we are all proud of her. And to be shooting a 308 at that, I would think it was a little big for her. Congrats to her again.
Great job Micah, will be some great memories for both of you.
The ammo she is shooting is Rem's. Managed Recoil...like shooting a .243. She handles it just fine.

Nice lookin' deer pics there C.A.! We may have to get together for a mess of deer chili soon! I've got a few pallets spotted at work. May bring some home one day this week.
