I have them in size #8, but that is as small as I have tried to find. I have them in 1/64, 1/32, 1/16 & 1/8.Quote:

Here is the link to the hooks on barlows http://www.barlowstackle.com/acb/sho...=2436&CATID=57
You might try Stamina Tackle as well.
Cabela's has them in sizes 1,2,4,6,8,10,and 12
Last time I ordered from Barlow's they were out of stock and could not tell me when they would have any.
Good thing about Cabela's is that you know when you order if it is in stock or not!
I didn't see any jig hooks that were 10 or 12. Can you post a link? ThanksQuote:

FYI and only my opinion here, but it's not the Sickle hook bend that makes it my favorite it's how sharp they are. Once you get down to the #8 Eagle Claw while it's not as sharp as the Matuzo, it's sharp enough. Besides I am not so sure the Sickle is better if you are looking for a smaller hook anyway.

Try these for #8 hooks, they are not the sickle hooks but they are sharp. like skip said when you get down that small you dont want a wide gap hook

Think twice about ordering from that guy. I got quite a few that had open eyes on the head. He doesn't inspect them before he ships them. Told me to use pliers and close them or ship them back and he'd replace them as long as i paid shipping. Why should i have to pay twice for the same jigs. Sorry for the rant. Just beware of that guy.:mad:Quote:

So what if you have to do a little work on them, they're the cheapest you'll find. Just grab a handful while you watch TV and do whatever needs to be done to them.Quote:

You could use them with an 1/8oz head and it would be good for a shaky head rig.Quote:

Cabela's has them, just posted wrong link before!
Will those work in a 1/16 or 3/32 Do-it mold?Quote:

I have a do it mold and they work just fine. I can't remember the model # because the Granger crappie guide has my mold and is pouring the jigs for me if I supply the hooks. I will try to find out for you!
I have poured from number 6 up and not a big deal on the small hooks. Just takes a little longer to set the hooks.
But be careful, You will have one in your finger there that sharp.
Pete
I have some #8 sickles that I pour for the smaller jigs. I just sell the jig heads. I have a customer that has grown quit found of them. And you are right, one way or another they will get you when you are loading the mold....
I keep a lot of #8 Sickle hook jig heads and have them in 1/64, 1/32, 1/16, and 1/8. The ones in 1/8 are a little small, but Mark Robinson uses the small hooks to help him to not loose so many to snags.Quote:

GrouseFLy makes the best jig heads I ever bought!

I have been using sickle for a couple of yrs. and they are sharp, but they do tend to straighten out with larger fish 2lb+ and they bend at the first bend, they can be bent back in shape numerous times, have had several break. The ones that have broke,at the eye or at thr bend. Still a good sharp hook.
