Caught 30 keepers and threw back about 20 more in around 4 hours. Big fish was about 15 inches, but most were 10 inch fish. 99% caught on gold minnows, 9 to 12 feet deep. Fish were grouping up on the creek ledges.

hi keeper i hope they get hot i will be there the 2nd through fourth of january. THEY SHOULD BE GETTIN IT THEN.
Thanks for the update. Sounds like I need to head on down south and give 'em a try...
Hey Brad,
I made a drive by up there to scope things out but and I understand there are two ramps with camping. One on the west side down a long, very dusty, gravel road out of Bradly's hwy 160. I found this one but there where a bunch of drunk deer hunters camped there and nobody was fishing. Some bank fishermen there said the one on the East side was better but I couldn't find it. I headed east on 160 and then took a left/north on 160/53 and went about 7 miles but never saw a sign. I sure would like to fish it sometime and was thinking about staying over in my Dodge motel if the fishing was good. Thanks, Don
Take Hwy 3 to stateline. Hwy 3 turns into Ark 29. Follow Ark 29 to Canfield, Hwy 360. Turn Right on Hwy 360 and follow to Blackwell's sign on the right(about 3 or 4 miles). Turn right and follow to the next Blackwell's sign on the Right( about 1 to 1 1/2). Turn right and follow to boat ramp(about 1/2 mile).
I don't know the number there or if they allow camping, but he has plenty of room for a few campers. From the boat ramp it is about a 3 minute boat ride down the creek to where we been catching them.
Thanks Brad.
I guess its not the public launch but who cares. If the wind isn't blowing 90mph tomorrow, I'll give it a try and let you know. Thanks Don

Some good looking crappie Brad. Are you fishing the channels since your fishing that deep.
Those are those jumping crappie that I have heard of. Look at the one on the far right in the picture above.

Congrats on the catch. Looks like you got some nice ones there.
Kept 15, caught around 25 in about 2hrs. All caught on hair jigs. White, orange, chart... Chart., green, chart...
Really not to bad for a shiner-slipcork guy. Water is down so bad I can't use my 17ft. bass rig. Used a little jon boat and still had trouble unloading. Some folks are saying the bite is better in the afternoon.
good job, man!!
Nice. Less water = more crappie?
